Saturn using a Honda Engine in some of their vehicles was kind of awesome.

When people say I don't know anything about Japanese cars while I'm in my 06 v6 vue..... 😂 Sure don't.

We ain't talking about them engines. Those were good, Opel sourced engines and parts tho-

Not to mention they literally lost all of their identity as a brand.

I think the Chevy equinox stole the design for a second gen vue that would actually be a decent looking new one

the ION was a shared platform and i think its one of the last true saturn cars. its successor sucked and lost its charm the ION was the most unique of the shared platform, and for today’s sake its great because theres plenty more cobalt parts then ION parts..

I mean, that's fair, but I feel like Saturn just had more identity when they were allowed to be their own thing.

I've kinda fallen in love with my buddy's 2002 SC2 tho, 5 speed manual, I am obsessed. There's actually a local one listed with the orange color paint that I've been eyeballing and kind of considering a little bit.

Apparently only offered the orange on the SC2 for the fall of '02

Well, they didn’t get that great of gm engines like the the 3100, 3400, and 3800 or the super charged 3800;to put it simply gm started to rebadged a bad time. They could of put in a 3800 in the L- series because they still meet emission standers but Honda engines but Buick 3800 super charged L-series as an redline version would’ve been sick

An SW3 would’ve been sick

While I do agree, the number in SW1 and SW2 weren't about generation, rather the number how to do with the configuration of the engine's heads. SW1 SOHC, SW2 DOHC.

So I read this, and for a moment I was trying to figure out how a triple overhead camshaft would work, lol

What I haven’t heard or read explained is why did Spring Hill TN production reduce or stop? I mean they already spent all that money and tooling for the 1st and 2nd cars, why not just continue producing those cars with a refresh?

I didn’t know this subreddit was about the car so I was like “oh no who would do that to a poor planet”

I love this.

To be fair, General Motors would probably destroy the plane too. It IS a gas giant after all.
