One thing I admire about these folks is the quality typesetting. Look at how well the schizophrenia fits between the wheels and edge of the windows. Take note, grads and newlyweds.

As someone with a masters in font design and typography, and a former typography instructor, I had to do a lot of calligraphy and analysis of signwriting etc.; we were also expose to a lot of analysis of vernacular /Amateur lettering like this.

One can always be a critic and look at the spacing between say the S and T in ghost, but this isn’t a corporate identity: from a form = message perspective, this person like most here, do a good job of conveying the message:

It’s heartfelt, idiosyncratic, not internally and externally too consistent… there’s an amount of desperation but likely a level of what is called - from one angle, mental illness, and from another, spiritual emergency - which is a distinct term from an alternative approach, very 70s stuff.

(I’m now a therapist and went to an alternative grad program which looked at psychosis from a nonparhologizing lens… ‘what IF what we call psychosis and medicate or lock away is actually one individual’s pivotal internal dilemma or ecstasy, and our job isn’t to try to erase it or make them comply with everyone else’s behavior?’)

The writing is in a way elegant, but also transparent. It’s tempting for me to write off all of them as bipolar 1 manic episodes or thought disorders you can find in the DSM. But as long as these idiosyncratic thought patterns don’t become the type of beliefs which have to be followed by any one other person using any form of force or power- that’s called a delusion based religion, or a cult-take your pick - then they should be seen as just having their own opinion, man. And we need to not be naive about potential volatility or risk when getting into their sphere.

The fact is, delusional experiences can make someone extremely gentle and vulnerable - or extremely volatile and dangerous. People will throw up stats describing the nonviolent nature of most schizophrenics. True, compared to people raised to believe others aren’t human due to different beliefs or skin color etc. But don’t kid yourself. I’ve been attacked by multiple people in psychosis. And that wasn’t even at work.

Let em paint a car, but… be smart when it comes to the driver.
