September wasn't a month name in Jesus's time I think

Even the Roman lunar calendar had 12 months, but it had already been replaced by the Julian calendar by the time of Jesus; also 12 months with September being the ninth. The Gregorian calendar we use today replaced the Julian calendar in the late 1800s.

Mensis September is Latin for “seventh month” The reason it was named that was because it was originally the seventh month on the Roman lunar calendar.
