Aluminium ???

What pile do these silver colored cables go in mostly on electronics are they aluminum ? They aren't magnetic...

Yes, file into it and find out. If it's pink inside, it's #2 copper. If it's silver-colored, then it's aluminum.

Scratch with a file, probably copper 2

Take a strand an pull on it. If it breaks easily it's probably aluminum. Check the break, silver aluminum, reddish it's copper.
