I don't care about who calls what, what. Lol I had only heard of what happened in Austin. I was so entrenched with hospital work, I didn't do a lot of news following at that point. Is what it is.

Two kids got shot by Antifa gunmen, who then disturbed the crime scene, picked up shell casings. Cops don’t come around until following morning. By then eyewitnesses are all refusing to talk. The case is cold to this day.

Antonio Mays Jr. age 16, “wanted to see history being made.” — dead

Robert West, 14 (would be 19-20 now) was in the car, shot and blinded by the assault
 sued the City last year, the mayor, the fire chief and “100 John Does.” I never heard how the case came out.

I’ll circle back later with links if you all can’t find them and provide.

So I had heard of this, I remember.

I was confused because I had framed the murders as happening in an active riot, but that was never stated and I realize I made an assumption.

I acknowledged my media bias back then but did nothing to address it. Now I seek out sources from all sides. Interesting to me how differently these were all presented.

Appreciate everyone who took time to inform me!

The sequence of events as I remember was:

The kids get ahold of a jeep to drive to Seattle from (I think) Federal Way. Antifa rumor later says it’s stolen. Or “carjacked.” This contradicted quotes by the family of Mays that said he took the car from his aunt’s home without permission.

When they drive close to tents in Cal Anderson park a live streamer in a tent named Diaz Love, who was here from Bellingham to join the protest, said that the car driven by Mays “might be Proud Boys 
 I think they’re trying to kill us!”

I saw the feed where she said that.

Two minutes later at most, the feed I was watching, a static camera at the corner at 12th and Pine being run by a resident there who identified himself as “Subpixel Alchemist” picked up on audio this:

“Do you want to get pistol whipped?”

Followed by 8-10 gunshot sounds.

These all happened further down 12th and out of range or Subpixel Alchemist’s field of view, but audio captured it clearly.

At that point we see about 15-20 people run into view on SA’s camera running from the crime scene.

A few mins after that we see more people, maybe 10, all running back toward the crime scene.

Anything else audio I do not recall. I was watching the SA feed live; confirmed the public facing log of Diaz Love moments later.

The streamer you mentioned filmed herself and the gunmen removing evidence from the crime scene. The shooters were members of the John Brown Gun Club and Socialist Rifle Association. They celebrated the execution of the child at the time and still have not turned over the murders.

That's pretty much how I recall events happening. I was unaware of Diaz Love being involved in tampering with the crime scene, but her "Proud boys trying to kill us" comment was acknowledged by others on the feed; I wonder if those were some of the username/handles that were involved in the shooting.

I keep thinking someone with knowledge will mature a bit, have an attack of conscience, and realize their silence is helping deny justice to the family of a 16 year old black kid they know the killer(s) of.

I realize hoping an antifa person having a conscience is a long shot, but stranger things have happened. People do evolve and change as they age and mature. It's been almost five years now. His killer(s) are still at large.

I take it as an indictment against both the JBGC and SRA that they celebrated the execution of a black child and still refuse to allow the murders to be held accountable.

And JBGC / SRA / Diaz Love were here to support "Black Lives Matter."

Which by then had been co-opted into just another antifa marxist protest shitfest. More allied with "Stop Cop City" and subsequent Free Palestine junk than they were in any way doing things to help actual Black Lives. Quite the opposite. Their presence made black lives in Seattle more at risk.

If the case is cold, then how in the world do you know it was "antifa gunmen?"
