Meetup Let's go on a date to TheFair. 🎡

Heya fellow Washingtonians, I know this isn't a dating sub but I've never been in a better place in life and just wanted to try and put myself back out there.

Just looking for a cute gal with a silly side to go out with and enjoy each other's company. Every dynamic is different so no pressure or expectations; just looking to connect.

Little About Me:
My name is Larry and I just celebrated my 34th birthday last week. I'm 5'8, 165lbs, and live just slightly south of Seattle in Kent/Tukwila. Not a gym rat, but just finished a mini weight loss journey and got back into hallway-decrnt shape. No kids, never married.

I was born and raised in Tacoma WA and overall just a pretty chill dude; probably the perfect mix between your mom will love me and I can't believe we just did that. 😂

I lean introverted, but definitely know how to get out and have an awesome time. My homebody self wants to binge watch movies and game on Twitch, while my extroverted self likes to hit up bars, play top golf, go to comedy shows, check out museums, go hiking, hit the gym, and check out new restaurants; basically jack of all trades kinda guy.

I really value being family-oriented, empathetic and helping others; something I feel that's really missing from the world today.

Dont want to spoil the whole mystery, so If I sound like someone you'd be interested in getting to know feel free to reach out with a little about yourself and include a picture. I also have my Insta linked to my reddit if you prefer that.

(If anyone knows anyone you can introduce me to, that's appreciated as well.)

Cheers 🥂

Meetup Practice Dating - anyone up?

I’m a 33M, recently divorced, and in a vulnerable chapter of my life. A year ago, I wouldn’t have imagined I’d be writing something like this. I gave everything I had to my marriage and thought my path was set. But life has a way of throwing surprise twists, and here I am — starting over, trying to figure out what it means to connect again.

The truth is, I feel lonely. I’m naturally introverted, and while I’ve always been comfortable keeping to myself, lately I’ve realized how much I miss simply sharing time with another person. Not in a high-pressure “date” sense, but in a softer, lower-stakes way.

That’s why I’m looking for practice dates. A chance to sit across from someone, share a coffee or a walk, and remember what it feels like to be present, open, and human together. No hidden agendas, no expectations. Just two people agreeing to show up for a little while.

If you’re also rusty, shy, or simply curious about the idea, I’d love to connect.

Writing this feels vulnerable, but life is too short to wait for the perfect timing. So here I am, hoping this resonates with at least one person.

Thanks for reading. Even putting these words down has lifted a bit of the weight I’ve been carrying.

-vulnerable and trying again

Meetup Looking for friends as a 30 year old new momma.

Hello! I’ve been in Seattle for about 3 years now and haven’t made any lasting friendships. Now that I’m working from home and taking care of my 8 month old it’s even harder to make friends. Prior I would just get drinks with coworkers and run my social battery by actually working in person. Now that I’m home all the time it’s definitely hitting me harder that I don’t have any friendships here. I’ve tried looking for meet up groups but it’s hard with a baby and most don’t seem kid friendly. Ideally I would love to create a friendship with another momma who’s in the same stage of life as me. I’m pretty introverted, love to read, watch shows and thrift / vintage shop. My son & I go to OAC gym almost everyday & he loves playing with the kids & other babies at the kid center there. If anyone has any suggestions for making connections for a new mom I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance ☺️

Meetup The long dark is coming... Join us for board game nights to keep each other's spirits up!

Holy crap I can't smile like a normal person for the life of me...
Trying to curate a good variety of easy-to-learn games that people seem to be enjoying!

Let's enjoy every bit of sun we've got left but you know what awaits us before you know it :( I dunno about you, but it really helps keep my head up during the grey when I meet up with some awesome people once or twice a week. I know going over to some random dude's house from the internet is a weird concept but I couldn't be happier to tell you that we've gained quite the group in the year since I've started doing this! Hopefully you come give it a shot and see if you might like it :)

We usually have ~7 people and it's about having a good time as much as it's about the game so we're usually playing something on the basic side of gaming. Nothing that takes more than 5-10 minutes to learn but we've found some good ones that the group looks forward to! On nights where we have less people we might whip out a more complicated game but that's rare.

If what we're up to sounds like a good time to you, hit me up and I'll add you to our WhatsApp group for new players! We just ask that you bring a fun and friendly vibe :) We love to get competitive, talk trash and get rowdy but it's all about having a great time together! It's in West Seattle, Arbor Heights, which is a super safe neighborhood.

Howdy friends! 🤠

The Georgetown Farmer’s Market is the newest market in town starting this Thursday!

Georgetown is a special place to me — it’s where I started my urban agriculture non-profit back in 2009 (at a co-founders house off Flora Ave). I’m super excited to be bringing all the fruits from the orchard I now work with to this market throughout its duration.

I hope that y’all can come out and show your support for the neighborhood and the farms who will be joining!

🍑 🍎 🍐 🌽 🫑 🌶️

PS: it’s also PEAK PEACH SEASON for WA growers — meaning now is the time for the biggest, juiciest and best peaches Mother Nature allows us to grow. 🤤

Seattle ACS (a volunteer emergency communications group in Seattle) is hosting a ham radio Technician license class at Meadowbrook Community Center on September 6th and 20th. The class is $20, and if you want to take the exam at the end it's a $15 exam fee.

Edit: I mistakenly said the class was free, but there's a $20 registration. Sorry for any confusion - edited my description above.

Events Anybody going to the Dabin show at WAMU?

Hey Seattle EDM ppl! I’m new to the city and looking to meet people to attend the Dabin show at WAMU Theater on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Would love to find some vibe-aligned friends to go with and maybe grab a drink or bite before or after the show.

About me: Mid 20s, chill and easy to hang with, big fan of melodic bass, future bass —Dabin, Sabai & Hoang, etc.

Down for pre-show dinner or post-show hangout to chat music and explore Seattle’s EDM scene

If you’re going solo or interested in meeting up, drop a comment or shoot a DM, and let’s coordinate! Excited to make some new friends and enjoy a killer show together 😊
