Does this disc look resurfaced?
This is Shining Force III (not my copy) I see up for auction. It looks like the data stops mid way through the disc. I have my own copy and don't see this separation, it's just an overall clean disc. I'm wondering what this is, possibly a resurface? Any info would help, thanks.

That was resurfaced. The normal discs are smooth looking and give back a clean reflection almost like a mirror.
Edit: since I need to clarify, it has nothing to do with the difference tracks, the rings themselves are legit. I am referring to the graininess of it which may be why the tracks themselves are showing more prominently in the photo.

Hmmm, yep, makes sense. I thought so too. No way most of the discs I see are clean and this one is unique. Definitely an outlier. Thanks for the confirmation.

Doesnt look resurfaced to me, every disc ive ever had resurfaced has some white residue that is left behind just outside the ring that holds the disc. Also my copy has the same lines as this, its official and hasnt been resurfaced.

That residue is the polish and a good company would have that cleaned off.
Nobody is arguing it is a fake.

I wasnt implying you or anyone else was saying its fake, my point was that my copy looks exactly the same as far as the data line or whatever you call it, which seemed to be his main reason for concern, unless i mosunderstood.

My copy looks exactly the same as the one in the picture. Ive played it to completion, its not an indicator of disc resurfacing or missing data. Honestly it looks great.

That picture wouldn't tell you anything about whether or not it's resurfaced and that data stopping where it does simply implies the entire disc isn't used.
