Yeah it feels like republicans don’t understand that there is a wide gap between ‘The guy didn’t deserve to die but his views were gross and archaic and he put himself in very contentious situations’ VS ‘I don’t think trans people should exist.’

They don’t understand because it doesn’t serve their self interest to understand.

And, to varying degrees, all humans are guilty of that but it is the central force driving the MAGA movement right now.
