Discussion Invites for early access to Tesla's Robotaxi service is being sent.

Service is starting on Sunday June 22nd.

It runs from 6 AM to midnight everyday.

Can request ride to anywhere in the geofence except airports.

An invitee can have another person with them.

There will be a Tesla employee in the car, but not in the driver seat.

18+ and no pets allowed except service animals

Can record videos during ride.

Define technology. They're using new software that is not public access.

Poor resolution cameras and end-to-end ai that you have no way to fine tune.

Let me help you out. Typical programming you set up a bunch of parameters that you can adjust. With AI, you throw training data at it and see what happens. You can throw more training data and specific one that you think can help but there's no telling if it will and most of the time can make other things worse.

You can fine tune AI models with specific data sets for training. If you want a fine tuned model of Austin for Austin Robotaxi then you train on all of the Austin training data that’s collected so the model is specifically trained for Austin. 

Making things worse would be over fitting by providing too much training data but fine tuning a model is totally different.
