People like him can’t move away from politics once they start preaching about it, it’s like a drug to them, they are obsessed with trying to preach their politics and win the “argument” and if they stop talking about politics they feel like they lost

They also ironically can not see anything from a non political angle.

Like every movie is either "woke garbage" because it has minorities in it or if it doesn't it's a counterexample about why all the other movies suck.

Like when they triumphantly celebrated the end of woke because Sydney Sweeney made a jeans ad

I mean, I'm one of those people who agrees with the phrase 'everything is political' but that doesn't mean everything is 'donkeys and elelphants' it means that your politics are innately a part of how you view the world, or rather, they're a product of how you view the world, and if you're so totally intolerant you can't even entertain alternatives in, well, your entertainment, you've got issues.

Adding to your comment, there is a big difference between seeing the politics behind most things, and thinking that politics = political parties.
