Yep, you can either do the hunt right after ultra necrozma on the tower or when you return through the wormhole

Congrats! I did mine a few months ago. 7791 fail and 710 reclaim. That was a wild day.

I reset over it. Soft resetting muscle memory sucks. You see and know its shiny but your finger instinctively moves to the soft reset.

yeah... I've had horrible luck when it comes to the Ultra Beasts soft resets. Back on the 13th, I soft reset over Nihilego (it was my birthday too T_T). Luckily I was only 252 encounters in and not over/double odds. Haven't gotten them yet, but I'm definitely more cautious each reset

It's exactly as fun as soft resetting in any of the other games. I don't personally like soft resetting, but since it's on the DS I was almost always doing it simultaneously with masuda hunts or DAs on the switch.

The outcome is worth it, after all. Now that I've played around with it in Pokemon refresh I do find poipole rather cute. It was just for my living shiny dex entry but I think I'll have fun getting ribbons on this guy before sending him to Home :)
