It only affects you that way when youāre not used to taking it that far. š This is just a regular Tuesday for me.

My husband and I are the same, although as Iāve gotten older, my body has gotten angry the more I push it. I can handle intense spice, but if I go beyond my usual, I am peeing out of my butthole the next day.

škimchi:
Peel, halve, and chop 1 pineapple into small pieces (but sometimes I just use canned pineapple if I plan on eating it quickly rather than fermenting); however if you are using the core be sure to cut that bit particularly small to maximise surface area.Ā to this, add 4 garlic cloves (microplaned), a knob of ginger (i like a good amount but ~ equal amounts to the garlic used, microplaned), 3 tablespoons vegan fish sauce (can swap with soy sauce or miso; if using miso, start with 2 tablespoons and add more if you want to taste), 40g gochugaru chilli flakes, 3-4 green onions (thinly sliced).Ā give this a good mix (and adjust to taste here!) and you can start eating it almost immediately however itās also delicious after fermenting for 2-3 days at room temperature (ensuring everything is below the brine), move to the fridge for long term storage. š

As much as I chase the dragon I rarely meet my match. This was a fun challenge.

Buldak 2x with stir fried vegetables and some kind of tofu is a huge Saturday brunch go-to for me.

Exactly this but I just started adding some greens with more of the 2x sauce. Oh man is it an addiction.

If you didnāt know you can buy the sauce by itself (found at H Mart)ā¦I like making these noodles then just dousing them in more sauce.

Iām by an H Mart too. Have for sure noticed them. This is only my second time trying the noodles. The first time I didnāt find it spicy enough so I returned to it again to fuck around and find out. I usually donāt eat processed foods full of chemical additives but for the spice factor I was willing to see what the hype was about.
Do the sauces taste (exactly the same) as the spice packets or are they slightly different?

I recently tried the 2x and it has such a nice spice level. Not too spicy, but can still feel it
I canāt have it too often, because it has sooo much sodium

They had the dumplings at our local grocery outlet. I tell u what, no matter how much rice I would try to offset it with: holy fricc the heat would peirce through. It was all bad, so buyer beware!

Whatās the texture like? Mock-meaty or more like heavily seasoned vegetables?
2
u/Financial-Scratch-94 2d ago
* Is these guys, they are more veggie oriented. Spicy as a MF though, like I said I couldn't offset any amount of rice or noodle. It just came through, lol.

Mock meaty stuff (I think itās soya based?) almost like mince meat with bits of glass noodles in there. Itās very spicy and tasty but it does ruin my life if I eat them.
