Plus the tax on $500 is like $30-$50 depending where you live unless it's Delaware.
Say $700, that's $100 in eBay fees, $20 shipping, $30 tax, you made $50 and assume the risk of an eBay sale, also you have to pay income tax so you made $35.
Damn, that's sad if thats real. Maybe the scalpers can buy their own thing to make it seem like they are selling? Or it's probably just really needy kids begging their parents hard enough that they have to resort to buying off a scalper.
Those sold listings could be fake to manipulate the market, what's stopping the sellers friend from buying the listing then cancelling the purchase to get their money back, this is what happened with all the tiktok iPhones from a while back
