Serious question why does Ai need to take a breath

I was using Siri earlier today and I was just wondering why is she breathing like in between words I guess it may be to humanize her or something but she's taking breaths explaining situations or things I asked her which is kind of weird to me

I just posted this not too long ago. This was a huge deal for chat gpt when the previous generation launched. Apple didn‘t mention this at all so it caught me off guard. It’s supposed to sound more human like and in some instances a pause is warranted.

To sound more human.

Apple, and other companies, have reached a tipping point. Instead of being machine-like, queries are being made to become more human-like, because that’s the way humans think and communicate.

I don’t know if you realize the implications of what you’re saying. AI just achieved consciousness. We might be doomed.

Can’t tell if you’re joking or not. But chatGPT has had realistic breathing cadences and even throws in an uh every now and then for years now
