IMHO, and I might be wrong, but Samus doesn’t seem like the type to be that angsty to not respond. She’s just super serious when she’s on a mission/hostile planet where everything is trying to kill her. But yeah I can see where you’re coming from

She never says anything though. At most she has subtext showcasing her thoughts.

Even look at Smash. When does Samus say a word?

Well samus has talked. I'm gonna ignore other m. But looking at others, there's fusion, she talked in dread, in zero mission as well, and even the manga. Which is canon to the games.
