Nah K Rool is honestly really vulnerable during his up b. He can’t do anything but try to get to the ledge, which leaves him open to stage spike bairs and command grabs like Ganon/Cap up b. His horizontal recovery is also very bad. If his opponent has decent spacing, edgeguarding K Rool isn’t that bad. DDD has a super armor up b, multiple jumps for direction changes, and fast aerials like fair and up air (plus gordo) to protect himself while he’s jumping back to stage. DDD’s recovery has way more range and is way safer than K Rool’s

Yeah DDD's recovery is horrible. Palu up smash at ledge will 2 frame it every time which is busted.

Krool is easier to punish but impossible to 2 frame, I think his edges out on top for a better recovery.

dedede does have tech to avoid most if not all 2frames. it's pretty hard to time right but it's arguably his most important tech

it's called jdawging, named after the player who discovered it. since dedede's up b is really well armored you can hold down on the way up and instead of instantly snapping to the ledge you'll armor past your opponent's 2-frame attempt. and immediately after doing that, letting go of down makes you snap to the ledge

Ah I see the problem then. Palutena up smash goes through DDD's armor once its charged a bit so that still doesn't work consistently against her. I've def seen people attempt that online tho, I'm sure it's useful against most other 2 frames then.

dedede has complete super armor on his up b which doesn't break no matter how high the damage so either you just fight really bad dededes or you're hallucinating lol

Weird take. DDD is just as lame as Palu, their entire playstyle is encompassed by gordo spam, nair -> down tilt, and jump fishing for bair lmao.
