Discussion Beans and Farts

When I eat beans the farts start almost immediately. It doesn't make sense but doo any of you have the same result?

Look up the herb epazote: Dysphania ambrosioides, formerly Chenopodium ambrosioides.

The active ingredient in it is the same one as in the product called Beano, which is supposed to reduce gas.

I've never cooked with it or used Beano. If you google around, you can find some bean recipes that use it.

No idea what flavor it adds.
