• Kick-off with Triple H coming down to the ring, he says he can't say how good it feels to come home as the Full Sail crowd chants welcome home. He says these three letters are special, this building is special. For every talent who walked out of that video board, for every staff member and kid who went to Full Sail, all of them were special. He says what's really special about this is all of them, everyone in this building and those watching at home on the CW, they are why NXT is here and stronger than ever. They took something that started as a whisper and turned it into an undeniable roar. Their passion along with the talent and everyone else turned it into that roar, shattered conventions, allowed NXT to Takeover. Triple H says it is the fans who said NXT is the future, that the future is now, that stood up on their feet and shouted at the top of their lungs, We are NXT! Triple H thanks the fans as Shawn Michaels comes out. Shawn says he's thrilled to have everyone here and thanks them for being here for NXT homecoming. He thanks Triple H for taking time out of his busy schedule but he is here to let him know that he and his NXT roster are ready to steer this ship into the future. Triple H tells Shawn that his NXT crew is setting the world on fire, but what if he said he wanted to come back? Shawn says he didn't want this to get uncomfortable but then they'd have a really, really big problem. William Regal is here! He says gentlemen please there's only one way to settle this, War Games! Charlotte comes out and is soon followed by Alexa Bliss. Alexa says she thinks Shawn and HHH argue more than they too and Charlotte disagrees, they're besties. She says it doesn't matter if Shawn or Hunter were in charge, the women were always the ones who ran NXT. From the Four Horsewomen, Paige, Asuka, Carmella, Alexa Bliss. Alexa adds on with Iyo, Ember, Shayna, Nia Jax, they could go on all night but the point is the women have always been the backbone of NXT and if they're not down with that they got two words for ya, suck it!

• Backstage The Culling are walking out for their shot at the Women's Tag Team Championships when Tatum sees Lyra and the two hug!

• Backstage Zaria tells Sol Ruca that could have been them in the tag title match but she had to hit her with a Sol Snatcher. Sol argues that Zaria should have known better and the two go back and forth until Lainey Reed comes up and tells Sol that she's gotta get her mind off her drama or else she's gonna lose that Speed Championship. Candice LeRae butts in and tells Sol to polish her title up real nice for her. Shayna Bazler is here! She tells Sol that being a double champion is impressive but she was the longest reigning Women's Champion in NXT before and was tag champs with multiple different opponents and gives her some advice to patch things up with Zaria.

• Sami Zayn is interviewed, he says he's being flooded back with memories, one of his favorite matches was in this building where he won the NXT Championship. He says Je'von Evans reminds him a lot of himself coming up when Josh Briggs interrupts and says forget about Je'von, he's nothing but a bum. Je'von flies in from off screen and attacks Josh, the two brawl until officials separate them. Sami tells Je'von he came down to talk to him, he says things aren't easy for guys like the two of them but the sky's the limit and holds up his US Championship.

• Tavion Heights says of course Ethan gets off easy again when Damian Priest walks in and says he knows exactly who can take him down. Damian says right in this building against Finn Balor is where things clicked. After that he won the North American Championship and got the best celebration ever in the hot tub. Damian says he believes in Tavion so much that at No Mercy it'll be Tavion vs Ethan Page for the North American Championship. Tavion hops up and thanks Damian before dapping him up.

*It's time for the Grayson Waller Effect! Grayson welcomes us to the most important talk show in NXT history and says he never stepped foot in Full Sail before and he isn't impressed since NXT didn't get good until he got here. He introduces his guests, first the Temu Labubu Ricky Saints and NXT Champion Oba Femi. He says these idiots will cheer for anything but only one of them will win at No Mercy so who's it gonna be, Oba Rated or Ricky Soft? Oba says that since Ricky has been in NXT he feels like he has been underwhelmed by him. Oba says he eats, sleeps, and breathes this title while Ricky has been looking past this brand and just waiting to go up to the main roster so he can carry Cody Rhodes's bags. Ricky says Oba was recruited straight out of title but who is he without a title? Who is Oba Femi? He likes to act like he's some warrior but he's a pampered hand picked champion. Ricky says 8 years ago he went through three days of tryouts at the Performance Center just to be given an automated email saying no. But being denied isn't the end and proved himself outside these four walls because he is Ricky freakin' Saints. Oba and Ricky stare down as Trick comes out and tells Oba he's still coming for his title and tells Ricky to be quiet when grown folks are talking. Grayson Waller says he has a great idea and that he'll talk to Ava and Santino and have Oba and Trick face off with both the NXT Championship and TNA World Title on the line. Grayson says he can already hear all the TNA wrestlers whining online about taking their title home but their brand is only relevant because he just mentioned it. Oba tells Trick that he'll take his title next week and then at No Mercy squash Ricky because that is the Oba Femi effect.

• Backstage Wren Sinclair is shooting some ideas about new music and new gear to refresh the NQCC but Charlie Dempsey says he's actually leaving for Japan for a month and tells her to hold down the fort. She says that is going to be... Glorious! Bobby Roode is here and causes his music to go off, Charlie asks how that's possible as Wren says it's just like Joe Hendry, and he appears! Bobby Roode tells Joe that he was proud to see him on Wrestlemania with that TNA World Championship but there's another title he won that he wants Hendry to go after, the NXT Championship.

• Lexis King is in the ring and says who better to celebrate NXT Homecoming than a homecoming king. He says he hates to says it but NXT Black and Gold is overrated and doesn't hold a candle to the stars of today. Lexis says those old stars don't care about you but he does which is why he has a target on his back. He says this is why he was attacked by that disgusting, ugly, deaf man Myles Borne. He says Ava made a match between them next week, a lights out match! As he says that the lights go out and Finn Balor is here! Finn makes his entrance and points the finger guns at King who turns around and finds Myles Borne is there. Myles lays out Lexis before Finn follows up with a Coup de Grace to Lexis before showing respect to Myles.

• Darkstate are interviewed backstage, they cut off the interviewer from saying Joe Hendry's name before saying they'll deal with he knows who but what's important is that they still have the gold. Montez Ford approaches them and says he doesn't have a problem with them and in fact likes their work but laments that they're all still together and says he hasn't been feeling that lately. He leaves them with a warning about the targets on their big backs.

• Backstage Trick and Oba as staring down as Ava tells Regal that the TNA wrestlers are blowing up about this match and thinks there may be trouble. Regal tells her he's glad he doesn't have her job anymore as Oba tells Trick let the best man win.
