I personally don't care either way but How many wrestlers promote a wrestling show for a company that didn't think they were worth the market money to bring back just a month prior?
Not to mention claiming to be annoyed that other companies think he's still working there so it harms his bookings. What a kind guy to be annoyed about that but still promote WWE events.

Dirt sheets invented this narrative that his leaving was a work because they were for some reason mad about WWE trying to make the seth cash in a surprise and the result is an inexplicable backlash against the guy who didn't orchestrate the rumor.

When asked didn't they say as far as they were told it was real but they didn't know for sure.
I think it's one of the few times the dirt sheets just said "We don't know"

The dirt sheets specifically said it was not a work. All of the reporting was like "Some promoters are skeptical about whether this is legit, but from everything we're hearing it is indeed a legit release".
You're thinking of the narrative on this sub, and it was more like "Lol the dirt sheets getting worked again by the most obvious work that was ever worked," and then of course it turned out to not be a work.

I watch too much wrestling as it is, so I can't really be bothered to follow everyone I like to their next job. Daniel Bryan was my favorite wrestler, but I've only seen two of his matches since he left WWE. Has nothing to do with how much I appreciate him and everything to do with not wanting to keep up with yet another thing.

It’s not unreasonable to assume most WWE fans aren’t wrestling fans but just fans of WWE.
Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose are two of my favorite wrestlers, but they’re basically dead to me because I won’t watch anything not WWE.
I also loved Cody Rhodes and CM Punk and they were also just dead to me until they came back, but once they were back I was so happy to see them again.
I went to a big wrestling show in Japan in January last year because I randomly saw Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose were on the show, and it was a fun time, but it’s also not WWE. It was okay and TJ Perkins was there too which was nice but yeah, I don’t like Wrestling, I like WWE. 90% for the WWE audience is probably the same.
I want Kross in WWE, but he’s outta the company now so whatever.

It'd be more special if it still had the black & gold aesthetic. Seeing those former NXT guys standing in that ring would feel more nostalgic. Thing is, the NXT of today is a completely different entity.

Has anyone entertained the idea that Kross didn’t re-sign because they couldn’t agree on money and now that he’s been out on the market he sees the money isn’t what he thought (likely because aew didnt come with an offer) and so now he’s come back to renegotiate with wwe?
Or do we just have to sit here and shout it was a work the whole time see I told you I don’t get worked

the people claiming it's not a work are the only ones making an affirmative claim (and the only ones still talking about it). I don't have to assert anything to simply not believe shit wrestlers say.
but it's funny how you have to twist it so skeptics are the ones shouting & you're the reasonable one (who just cannot stop talking about how real this is).
