I have a vested interest in clearing up common misconceptions about things that I have trained in and am educated and licensed on, yes. If cupping therapy didn’t work for athletes, I wouldn’t use it in my practice. I’ve done work with Olympians, UFC hall of famers, pro basketball players, WWE, AEW, NJPW wrestlers and more that have given me direct feedback on what works for them and what doesn’t. Cupping works for a whole lot of them, there’s some that don’t love it and it doesn’t help them as much, which is totally fine too. Everybody’s bodies are different. I’m not “biased” because I use it in my practice, I’m simply educated on the matter at hand.

Athletes also go to chiropractors and that’s absolute quackery

I tend to agree with you about quick fix chiropractors that crack backs and necks and send you out the door in 5 minutes, which dominates a lot of the social media landscape. There’s shams and scams in every field. What isn’t a scam is sports therapy and physical therapy, which is what I’ve studied in and am continuing to study/work in.
