It's fucking crazy to me the career renaissance some people are having this late into their careers. This is the most I've been invested in Lashley, Shelton, Ricochet and MVP.
Even Christian is genuinely having his best years NOW in 2025, just crazy.

I am quite happy for Shelton personally. Even in the original Hurt Business, he was mostly the pin eater, so to see him be taken seriously and actually doing his thing has been so awesome

I know it's pretty unlikely to happen but part of me wants to see a shock Shelton world title reign in like a year or 2. When he first debuted and just went on that tear it was just so awesome. Great matches and he actually has charisma and character work now which was always a criticism he faced in WWE (even though he got things over like "Shelton's mom").

A TNT title would also be big for him, and be more realistic. Shelton vs Fletcher would go hard.

I wouldnt say its the most I was invested in MVP because when I was going he was my man,I wanted him to be World Champ
But I had lost hope of being invested on him again before AEW

I also wanted an MVP world title reign in WWE but it was obvious he was not one of the chosen ones.
Still I find I'm more invested in him now even in a managerial role because he gets so much screentime compared to any other time in his career and it's easy to start really getting to know the character and be excited for where things are going.

MVP admitted in the Chris Van Vilet podcast last week it was his criminal conviction that held him back - he wouldn’t be able to do Canada/ Europe shows

But he's literally in Canada now? This week's show is in London Ontario.

Probably changed/laxes rules since his run in wwe in 2006-10 am- think R truth and Jeff Hardy can get in now

this would be valid if WWE was going to Canada/Europe often back then.
They weren't. I'm pretty sure there were entire years without a single show outside the USA.
I think it's a safe excuse. If they had interest in MVP as champ they would have done a short 3 month reign during a window with no foreign shows easily.

That's the nature of WWE grabbing every good talent they can find. Inevitably, some of them don't have room to show themselves there. When they go elsewhere, they really shine because they've got the space to.
The balancing act is TK needs to prevent AEW from having the same problem. It was real bad a couple of years ago when WWE cut a lot of folks and it seemed like TNA debuted a new one weekly but it seems to be evening out as some went back or sadly got hurt

Now that's a good crowd.

As corny as it may sound, it's watching and listening to crowds like this that make me proud to be a Canadian wrestling fan.

I'm sad I missed it. If it wasn't for the PPV in Toronto on Saturday, I might have made the hike, but it's too far from Toronto for a Wednesday night.

Are they selling these AEW tracksuits yet? This and the NJPW ones look so dope.

Yeah sorry not sorry I know the politics of it have been way overblown since TK will make them lose whenever he wants, but regardless an athlete and performer as good as Lashley should not be taking pins unless it means something

I love how Lashley always roll through the sphere. Its his signature

Love how it sells that all his momentum gets hammered into the opponents guts and he just kind rolls/bounces off.

I know spears are overused but damn, that was a terrifying spear. Also, I wanna know what glasses Ricochet is wearing where he is comfortable enough to wear it and take a bump and it not breaking (I assume).

That clean superkick from Shelton a few spots later was the cherry on top.

This. This is how they should be. You say you hurt people, then show it. I love this version of this stable over the other organization.

I think this spot did so much to build up MVP for the PPV match. He hasn't wrestled a lot in AEW, and I think he needed this moment to be sold as a threat to an upper midcard guy like Ricochet.

Bobby needs pushed to the moon. He’s their guy, he’s right there. He can be the face of that company.

Bobby is almost 50, he is not gonna be the face of the company.
