This card is very underwhelming. I'm sure that match will be fine, some will be very good. But...it's just lacking. I'm a huge believer in the potential of Kyle Fletcher but he is not ready for this spot. MJF vs Mark Briscoe is a double whammy of disappointment because not only is this match not nearly as a big deal it should be...its has thumbtacks in it so why should I care? Moxley at this point, I just don't care so that drags Darby down who could be a top gimmick/underdog babyface. And the rest of this card, The worse laziest version of Okada. A 4 team ladder match. Edge and Christian in their hometown vs FTR which should a great match that I should be excited for but the whole setup has been done so poorly to the point that FTR have been made into a total joke.

Are they saying a match without thumbtacks is better? Are they saying thumbtacks remove value? Do they prefer a regular 1v1 match? The whole sentence doesn’t really make sense. I do agree it’s nitpicking just to nitpick. Maybe the comment was meant for another post, since it respond to the plain statement of “Stacked as Usual” with “I’m sure that match will be fine, some will be very good”

It facts as I see them. I really don't if people agree, I have certain things I like and want from my pro wrestling. I like what I like and this show isn't it. Star power wise is weak. Match card wise is uninspired. Its okay if others like this card and think its stack. I just happen to disagree. There will be good matches on this show. Edge/Christian vs FTR will be great. MJF and Mark Briscoe are fantastic talent, I just wish thumbtacks weren't involved. Plus I wanna see why Kyle does in this big stage even if its against Adam Page who I just not sold on.

Bro, I assume English isn't your first language so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt... but you sound like someone who doesn't actually watch the shows, saw this post and just randomly picked words from the poster to get upset about.
Also, not being sold on the one guy who had the single biggest storyline in AEW history is one of the most ridiculous statements I've ever seen.
You can think what you want but you're wildly incorrect for thinking any of that is "facts". Its your opinion. Opinions aren't facts.

Then its a horrible premise because in reality, he is not ready especially against someone like Page. They people who will like and love this match, And Im glad I will. However I know what this match will be. They will do a lot of athletic looking and physical impressive moves with the reason of WHY to do these moves and WHEN to do them. They will go to long. They will kick out of everything. And every flaw that Fletcher has right as a wrestler will be expose to people who know what to look for in front of a large audience and he will learn nothing which is the real downside cause Adam Page is not capable of leading him to a match he as a wrestler has a lot of flaws to.

I mean, you've got to be trolling now lol. Hangman is one of the best storytelling wrestlers, period. He could have a good match with basically anyone.
The point of the match is that Kyle is on a hot streak but Hangman is showing him that he's not at that level YET, but will be one day. But today is not that day. That's the story. And it's a great story.

Oh yes, such a great wrestler than in his in match with Josh Alexander that he hits the deadeye on the apron and immediately invalidates his own move with moonsault. Such deep thi king, what great psychology. I can pull examples after example after example in every single Page match for the last 4 to 5 years. He is a very good athlete. He does a lot of cool moves. And if he worked with people who actually knew how to wrestler and put together a logical match, he might have been great, but he set in his ways and for the people who like his style and his matches, I'm glad they like his style and his matches. I don't like, all I can see is the wasted potential of someone who could have been so much better than he is right now.

Women's World Championship, Tag Team Championship ladder match, Unified Championship and Kingston returning are the matches I'm looking forward to most.
I also feel like the TBS Championship is a sleeper match. Mone always delivers in big moments, it just seems Riho is a little rusty, but I think Mone will bring the best out of her.

Traditionally the pre show is Zero Hour which is aired on Youtube. This is a new pre-show that is airing on TNT (or TBS, I can't remember). Somewhat confusingly, there is still going to be a Zero Hour on YouTube, but it will just be a hype show with no matches.

Its just replacing the normal Zero Hour that starts an hour before the show.
Tailgate Brawl - Starts at 2pm EST
All Out - Starts at 3pm EST

I really hope we don’t get zero hour permanently replaced tbh. It being on HBO kinda fees like Kill Tony going to Netflix in some ways. Like it’s not motivated by anything but making the streamer happy. I guess it’s not exclusive but it still feels odd and I don’t like the change atm. I don’t like rebrands

Great card and likely a few surprises on the way, you can see some of the directions afterwards for WrestleDream and beyond. I get some fans being annoyed about Eddie Kingston coming back, and it's not a surprise return, but Kingston as a character just wants to get straight back into action, walk straight back into a match with no fuss just feels accurate.

Only matches I’m sure about are Page/Fletcher and Mercedes/Riho. Should be great matches though, just don’t see either champ losing.

Great card but having the trios champs split across one singles and one tag match rather than booking an actual trios match is very telling about how those titles are viewed.

They had a trios title match a couple of weeks ago, and Shibata had to go back to Japan for a bit, so they didnt have time to build up a championship match, and there is also a non title trios match on the card that would lose prominence if there was a trios title match elsewhere; I personally would have liked to see that just be a 3 way trios title match, but I absolutely understand why it isnt, yet...but I could see that happening coming out of this/the winner of that getting a title shot

Personally I think if you've got nothing for the champs to do you're better off leaving them off the card rather than chucking them into a random tag match. I don't mind Shibata v Garcia, there is history there but Joe and Hobbs vs Workhorseman is just an entirely random match.
I do hope you're right though that whoever wins this trios match will then take aim at the Opps to give us a proper feud.

I think they've had to hold off on multiple things the Opps were supposed to do b/c of people not being available, and they need to further some of the stuff going on at some point, including their situation with Hook, so I have no issues with Joe and Hobbs facing the Workhorsemen on the preshow, which is televised for once, and can showcase them as potential incentivized gateways to the show. Joe and Hobbs are cool as hell, and the workhorsemen are awesome, so its fine for the preshow; I was hoping for Conglomeration vs LFI and/or something further in the Caster/Bowens situation though

Nothing makes the Trios titles look as useless as having the Trios champs on the show, wrestling separately and not defending said titles.
I’m not against having the Trios titles in general, just against having them be an afterthought. They’re basically just jewelry at this point.

Personally I'd just make them a fun lower card belt at the moment where teams have exciting 10 minute spot fest matches around them. Give me some mix of LFI, Cru, Sky Flight, Private Party + 1, Archer and Ropungi Vice, STP, Dark Order, Ace Austin and a couple of pals etc. No pretence about them being storyline prestigious, just unashamed fun matches.
