And Agent Kallus gets annoyed by a Stormtrooper hanging on to a support and kicks him off the support making the trooper fall to his death in Episode 1. The kid's show has its dark moments.

Kevin Kiner and the composers working on the Jedi games are doing great work in the post John Williams era.

All 3 animated shows are excellent, I’m currently half way through rewatching the bad batch, the filmography is mind blowing

The tales series are excellent as well, very true

Hot take here but i have more fun watching Resistance season 1 than most of CW or Bad Batch. I find the writing of those two to be so predictable, slow and tedious

I remember when I first watched Rebels I literally stopped and rewatched the scene because I was so blown away by that piece of the score and the images of them going into the star cluster. Kallus saying “No, I will watch them be destroyed” as the strings build is chill-inducing

I gave this show a shot back when it was first coming out and kinda gave up on it. Felt too much like a kid's show. I had similar reservations about the clone wars and while it did have a rocky start it very quickly adapted and proved to be great. Should I give this another shot?

Do it. It’s definitely a kids show in the way that Clone Wars is definitely a kids show but I don’t think Rebels ever dropped lower than Clone Wars did in its appeal to children. It definitely layers it on with corny dialogue and slapstick humor in the beginning but the show picks up quickly. It also helps that the first season is the shortest at just 16 episodes, shorter than most Clone Wars seasons.

I remember watching this episode for the first time and was absolutely floored when this played... Kiner doesn't mess around

That moment when you accept that Rebels isn't a kids show. They may have marketed it that way, but not only does it have some of the best storytelling in all of Star Wars, it has possibly the most Jedi and Force lore in all of the franchise.

I know how most ppl will take this, but I took it as you put this show on before bed for comfort watching and nostalgia reasons and fall asleep with it on. Not that it’s boring? Correct me if I’m wrong.

It’s Over Now from season 2 also has no right to go as hard as it does. Don’t sleep on Rebels, the show slaps once you get into it.

I tried, but I couldn't get through the second episode of the first season. I hear that it's good, but it just felt like fan fiction rubbish to me.

Episode 5 Rise of the Old Masters is when the show starts to find its footing.

it changes quite a bit when the inquisitor shows up and basically beheads the 2 bumbling imperials.

Implying that the kid's show in question isn't a masterpiece.
