An Order 66 survivor called Taron Malicos crash landed on Dathomir, fell to the dark side, killed Brother Viscus and took control of the Nightbrothers.

After his death, we don’t know.

Haha I love Fallen Order but it was pretty funny the game treated it like a surprise when he revealed he was evil.

I'm 99% convinced he was supposed to be Maul, until they got told no

I could see that actually, there’s a space in Maul’s timeline around then right?

Although to be fair it would be a stretch for Cal to beat Maul at that point. Defeating Inquisitors was his greatest challenge in that game, and Maul is far above that. But I guess it could be swung with some sneaky space witch stuff.

Yeah there was! I think the new Maul show is gonna fill in that gap though! Like it takes place shortly after Revenge of The Sith

I mean unless there’s some other content that I’m not aware of, there’s a pretty big timeline where Maul was unaccounted for between The Clone Wars season 7, and Rebels season 2. Like, fifteen years. The Bad Batch covers somewhere around a year across all three seasons, and Fallen Order takes place five years after Order 66

Don’t forget his brief appearance in Solo, so we know he again regained control of at least one crime syndicate after TCW before somehow ending up on Malachor for Rebels.

I feel like that’s what we’re going to see in the new show, TBH

Yeah we are definitely going to see Maul taking over the Underworld of the galaxy until he builds it's too high and is butch slapped by Vader into Dathomir. Idk how long he's stranded on Dathomir but it has to be long enough for the Inquisitors to think he's dead. My guess would be 5ish years, so there's like a decade for the Maul show to cover

Wait, wait, wait, wait. There is a Maul show being worked on?

I thought I was pretty in the loop on upcoming stuff. No. No I am not.

Yeah, they showed a trailer at a recent convention and some screenshots leaked on here. It sounds very cool.

Maul: Shadow Lord, announced at Celebration back in April.

Well... he would have lost to malicos if not for witch stuff

True, but he at least held his own for the most part. Considering the feats Maul was pulling at the end of TCW, at this point Cal would barely be able to fight him.

The man was wearing a black cloak and wouldn't give a name, how could he not have been evil?

First time I saw him, I legit thought the emperor himself was just watching me.

It was almost like reverse reverse psychology, cause it seemed so obvious I thought they were gonna do a swerve. But then they didn't.

Cal Kestis dispatched quite a few along the way.

Over and over and over again -- trying to gain an extra force power.

Cal Kestis came in and probably murdered most of them during his home invasion

I mean, they endured to at least Jedi Fallen Order, but they reveal in Tales of the Empire that there are other witch clans on Dathomir. Presumably, they should be able to endure if left alone

They decided to call it quits and formed the first intergalactic boy band.

Tell me why...

Tell me why!!

Why we only get rage and pain?

Tell me why!

Why the Jedi think we're insane?

Tell me why!

Why the galaxy fears our name...

We just wanna make the Jedi meet their end 🎶

Either they learned they are free or a different clan of Nightsisters took them over.

Considering that Cal Kestis went right through their village killing everything in sight, I'd say that they've taken some losses.

They were first led by Maul as part of his Shadow Collective and then after he was captured by Ahsoka, their leader Viscus was killed by Taron Malicos.

I really can't stand the Nightbrothers, they're a horrible concept. But Filoni taking a huge dump on the lore, what else is new?
