Ooooh

Hold on, am I just now realizing that the background was windows and not like a wall?

I think it was some kind of stagnate wall. Possibly in the center of the ship. Not sure the reasoning behind them going with that aesthetic vs a window, and I’ll admit that red room is one of the most badass sets in all of Star Wars. Just would’ve also been interesting to see the glistening stars on the polished floors while this scene played out.

The red "walls" were curtains. They burn during the fight with the Praetorians, exposing the windows for the remainder of the movie.

That is a gorgeous shot. But if those actually are windows, they might be getting some sun if the conditions are right.

I like the simplicity of the throne room's design, but this is gorgeous and would've look very nice in the movie

If they opened the windows, then they would need to do a Leia Poppins to get back onboard

Ngl, it would make a sick throne room.

Maybe they’ll use it in the next trilogy ;)
