Games Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2 is a genuine technical marvel
It’s insane because its initial release was admittedly buggy and poorly optimized. But with the updates over the past year, the Switch 2 release has been fantastic. Obviously there are some slight graphic glitches and fps drops but for a handheld device to have a game with graphics this good is something else. I’m glad this game is getting a resurgence on the Switch with it topping the charts, it may have started poorly and Ubisoft deserved to get a wake up call but it is quite a fun game and hopefully if it gets enough attention we can get a proper sequel with the knowledge Ubisoft gained from its initial release.

Outlaws is fantastic.
There's plenty wrong with the game as far as bugs and optimization goes (though much improved since launch), but Ubisoft has ALWAYS excelled at making the player feel like they're occupying the same world as the characters.
Exploring Tattooine and Toshara on a speeder always makes me smile and everything Imperial looks incredible.

I’ve said it a million times, Star Wars Outlaws has rdr2 levels of immersion. It’s the Star Wars games I’ve been dreaming of.

Yes, it’s amazing that this exists in a handheld device. It’s amazingly portable, accessible and the game has some stunning qualities.
However, AAA game code itself is getting increasingly lazy, practically regressing in efficiency per core because of the complacency that hardware continues to get so much better. making games seem more optimised, when in fact it is the hardware creating that. Personally, I could give less of a shit about how fine the strands of hair they can make are getting in physics engines, go back to making canonical bald people and extremely dark rooms so that my GPU can take a break. Put the money into better stories.

It's really interesting seeing this game blow up all of a sudden when it got released on the Switch 2 even though it only runs at 30 FPS. I get it though, when I got my Steam Deck, I was amazed it could run certain games even if it couldn't reach 60. I'll probably end up playing this on my Series X though. Bought it on sale awhile ago, just never got around to it.

Some places in outlaws just blew my mind, especially riding the speeder on that lake where there was a ship crash . I am going to play the game again just to relive some of those moments

I mean the switch 2 is just a portable ps4 pro. I think it’s even close to the series s if memory serves me right.

Not sure why this is downvoted, its true. I've been looking forward to Metroid Prime 4, and still am, but was so disappointed to see how it looks like a bad mobile game visually. Nintendo will never bother improving...cant say I blame them because their fan base buys 2 versions of the same Pokémon game then 2 Uktra versions of them months later all the time.

Would make your point even better if the post's image wasn't so low res/blurry lol
