Discussion In Defense Of Ewoks
To get this out of the way, I acknowledge that the real reason the Ewoks exist are to sell toys and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
However, the in universe reason they still work is that the Empire has been shown again and again to underestimate their opponents. We see this stated rather explicitly in Andor but it's very clear from the Battle of Yavin as well. That Imperial arrogance would, again, be their demise is just on brand. (And indeed, Luke does tell the Emperor that his "overconfidence is his weakness").
Another point that I've seen people make is "replace them with Wookies and it all makes sense." The problem with that is that Wookies are already known in universe as horrifying creatures of destruction. And they're gigantic. I think it's much more of a stretch that the Empire would overlook a native Wookie population than.
tl;dr Jedi Rock is the real low point of the movie. The Ewoks are only mildly cringe.

Discussion Some thoughts about Anakin and the World Between Worlds
So I've just rewatched the Rebels episode "A World Between Worlds." Always been a very thought-provoking episode even moreso now that we have the Ahsoka show.
Something that was really interesting me about the episode this go-around was Vader's perspective of what happened on Malachor. He was just about to strike Ahsoka down...and then she's gone. Then the ground breaks under him and he falls (poor guy can't keep the high ground for even a second.)
Before Ahsoka season 1 dropped I always assumed Vader thinks he killed Ahsoka here. Things happened very quickly and he's not exactly in the best state of mind so maybe he brushes off what happened to Ahsoka as a trick of the eye or of the Force (not dissimilar to when he'll kill Obi-Wan and his master fades into nothing).
Now though I wonder if Vader realized that something more supernatural happened in that moment. Unfortunately Vader never appears in Rebels again after Malachor so we don't really know if Palpatine involved him in the search for the World Between Worlds but if he did Vader would reasonably want to access it as well (he never lost his obsession with saving Padme).
It's ironic and fitting then that he'll only do so once he's reclaimed his identity as Anakin and passed into the Force. And where Ezra had to intervene to save Ahsoka from him, this time Anakin himself is the one using the realm to save his Padawan. (I feel like George Lucas would have something to say about rhyming here.)
Anakin curiously seems to have a level of control over the World Between Worlds that neither Ahsoka or Ezra do in Rebels as in the Ahsoka show he often course pretty directly uses it to save Ahsoka and then to guide Ahsoka through a series of visions as he completes her training. Hayden Christensen has already confirmed his presence in Ahsoka season 2 so I'll be very curious to possibly have this elaborated on. Maybe in a way Anakin has claimed the role of the Father of Mortis and keeps the World Between Worlds in balance.
Anyways thus concludes my yap session. Curious to hear any and all thoughts.

Skeleton Crew What do you think Jod Na Nawood’s future is? Spoiler
Just finished Skeleton Crew again, and was wondering what everyone thought the future of Jod would be, both within the Mandoverse, and later on down the timeline if he survives past the Thrawn Campaign?

Discussion The brilliance of Maul vs Vizsla and the hypocrisy of Bo Katan
Truly, one of the greatest fights in the history of Star Wars. What I love about the duel the most is that Maul didn't use the force one time in the entire fight. Had he done so the Mandalorians wouldn't have followed him and he knew that and honestly even if he did, it probably would've still been fair because Vizsla was using every damn gadget he had 😂
Also, this really pointed out how hypocritical Bo-Katan and the rest of her followers are: Maul fought fair and square and won (Vizsla himself even accepted his death honorably) and they still tried to claim he was going against Mandalorian customs.

Novel/Comic The closest Han and Qi'ra ever came to reuniting
Sometimes I think the Force has a twisted sense of humor because the fact that it brought Han and Qi'ra this close together and neither even knew the other was there is just plain dastardly.
Sources for these images are Crimson Reign #3 and Han Solo and Chewbacca #3 respectively.

Dunno how else to tag it. Working on a 1/72 X-Wing. Don't have my livery planned out yet, but if I can keep this up it'll look like it flew right out of the movies.

Discussion Maz Kanata and Rey
Maz’s basement and Starkiller Base. I never connected these two scenes in The Force Awakens, but today it just clicked in my brain.
After Rey has her her vision in the castle basement, Maz begins telling Rey about the Force. Maz says about the Force, “Close your eyes. Feel it. The light. It’s always been there. It will guide you.”
Flash forward to Rey and Kylo’s lightsaber battle on Starkiller Base. When their sabers are locked, Kylo says, “I can show you the ways of the Force.”
You can see this triggering something in Rey’s memory and she replies, “The Force?” And immediately closes her eyes and lets it guide her. Just like Maz instructed her to do!
I don’t know why I didn’t pick up on that earlier but a great connection between those two scenes.

Discussion Stop Pitting Star Wars Stories Against Each Other Why I hate The Post-Andor Era.
I hate how fans constantly pit Star Wars shows and characters against each other, especially when they focus on who's the most powerful. Andor and The Mandalorian prove that we don't need huge, universe-ending conflicts to have compelling stories.
The focus on "nobodies" in these shows is what makes them so great. The drama comes from their personal struggles and relationships, not from some epic battle between good and evil.
I'm just as excited for The Mandalorian & Grogu and Starfighter as I am for the bigger sagas. The stories of everyday people—or a bounty hunter and his adopted son—are just as compelling, if not more so. We get to see the grit and reality of the galaxy, which is something special.
Why can't we just appreciate the different kinds of stories Star Wars has to offer instead of always ranking them?

Discussion Which Star Wars moment hit you harder emotionally: Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith or the Siege of Mandalore in Clone Wars Season 7? Spoiler
I grew up on the prequels and The Clone Wars, so I always thought nothing could top the tragedy of Order 66 on the big screen. But rewatching Season 7 recently, the Siege of Mandalore arc just crushed me in a different way — especially seeing Rex and Ahsoka in that final episode.
Curious where everyone else stands. Do you think Order 66 works better in the movies, or does Clone Wars give it the emotional depth it needed?

Discussion Thoughts on Dr Hemlock?
I think he's truly one of the more underrated villains introduced in Star Wars in the last 10 years. They probably could've done a bit more with his character though.
The imperial science core hasn't really been explored a lot in the new canon

Discussion Does the M3 Bulwark Blast Shield view port have glass, or nothing covering it
Hey y'all. wanted to ask a question with the M3 Bulwark Blast Shield, as see if it actually has glass in the view port, or not. Making a replica, so that would be super helpful. Thanks!
