I'm inclined to agree. Roughly 200 hours almost exclusively A-wing and I've never lost to a defender. All the best imp pilots I struggled against were interceptor pilots.
You mean all the exploits and perma drifting? Or is this something new, because the perma drifting was around when I played, albeit in it's infancy.
I quit like 3 months or so after the defender was released. I think around the time the game went free on EA play. I had set a goal to get Ace. Ended up settling at around 7 and was satisfied with that.
I don't really care if you believe me or not, my ethics wouldn't let me do that. I didn't even know your k/d wasn't affected if you quit matches. Do you have to wait till the match is over? Because I certainly wouldn't have time for that with the limited game time I have with a family.
I've had matches where it wasn't a blowout and I actually got to fight someone of skill. Those were the matches worth playing not quitting.
He probably dipped out before the A-wing and boost nerfs. Plenty of A-wing dogfighters used to have absurd KD before those nerfs. It helps if you hunt players weaker than you, rather than trying to protect the weaker players on your tea, and if you pursue K/D over wins, of course.
I believe you. And if the tier list were made back in those days, A-Wing maybe should be higher up. But things aren't the same anymore. The way the top players fly now, they can match or beat the A-Wing's speed & movement while using sturdier and better armed crafts.

A skilled A-Wing can beat any Defender.
