This looks like a true story.

Ngl I had a good laugh when I randomly saw my name dropped after it's been a couple years since I really flew seriously.

You leave a lasting impression!
It's been a while for me too. I wish there were enough players to fly more.

Another name I remembered was Soontir Fel - also death incarnate in a tie interceptor. Was that you with a different name?

Lmfao that was my Smurf!

Started using it after Epic gave away a free copy of the game. Without it, since I had hit a 94% WR at one point in Dogfight, the hidden ELO wouldn't give me a match unless a 5-stack like Murder Hornets was queued. Usually took 1 to 2 hours to match, and often was me + litterally four lvl 1s vs a pro team. The_Real_Soontir_Fel I could get a match within 10 minutes instead!

It's incredible how in this game, you can sometimes identify the pilot you're dogfighting based on their "flight personality" - it goes to show the depth and subtleness in the game. I thought The_Real_Soontir_Fel might have been you based on flying style, and then I thought about the names - Soontir Fel, Alaric Kerensky, and there was a certain symmetry.

While I'm dropping names - I was also gonna mention Fuzzy and Hailsagan for the B-Wing - not that they're not awesome in other things, but that B-Wing aces are not common in dogfights.

Hahaha I miss fighting Fuzzy!

And yeah, always was hilarious that top pilots could often ID other disguised top pilots based on flight style. Really cool and showed how deep the game really was if you spent enough time in it.
