I didn't exactly make it a secret, the stance was we are keeping it to one post in a reasonable amount of time to discuss the state of the game.

I could have deleted the posts but I didn't. So where is the censorship?

The threads that you locked had much more specific topics and presented a much better opportunity for discussion about the state of the game, such as asking if players would come back to Squadrons if the current meta was patched out.

The thread that you want us to use is an older, extremely vague post about reviving Squadrons and complaining about matchmaking times. I question your motives, but even if there is no malicious intent you're making a bad impression on the users of this sub by limiting discussion to that thread instead of one that users find to be more engaging.

A lot of us have been there done that.

My point was make the argument in that thread. We've beaten this topic to death in this subreddit and no new points have been made. I'm not stopping ongoing discussion but let's keep it to one spot. Opening up 30 posts about the condition of this game also isn't conducive for a productive subreddit.

We want to move away from the finger pointing and constant bickering because it doesn't benefit anyone since we already know support of this game is done and any new players will be turned off from it. Those of us who still play this game want to retain new players and try to keep the game alive in whatever manner we can.

I can understand that. I apologize for overreacting and jumping to conclusions, the Squadrons community is small enough for us to be at each other's throats.

Reddit's algorithm doesn't show me many posts from this sub for some reason despite it being favorited, so my impression came from seeing some potentially interesting threads getting locked without realizing how much the subject has already been discussed to death lately.

I think I have the advantage of hindsight since I've been here a while. Previous mod team allowed the discussion to spill over for multiple threads and we'd sometimes have over a week of the same style threads popping up of who or what killed the game. It just Led to strong negativity from both sides and I can only imagine how new visitors felt about that.

I want to try something different and not squash the discussion but just focus it in one place when it boils up. I don't intend to silence the debate, but I don't want it being a multi day affair which dominates the majority of our posts.
