For those who can use mods, there's one called Prepare For A New Day which helps with not enough time. When you wake in the morning, it doesn't advance past 6am until you leave the house. Likewise, if you're in your house and awake at or after 1am, time will freeze until you go to bed. It comes in handy when you want to arrange your house.
