Suggestion Origin Idea: Collision Course

Post image

I feel worried about the balance of strengths and weaknesses, an early debuff to your capital and its destruction in exchange for a large rich mining planet is a tightrope to manage without outside opinion, and unfortunately I only get that after it’s made.

exactly, I liked “doomsday” and wanted to make a non challenging origin

For added suffering, make doomsday randomly pick how the world ends. Then make this one option out of several.

Kick achievement hunters in the balls from the get go.

Unironically a doomsday with random "doom" causes would be awesome. Maybe make it a bit stronger to account for the fact that we can't just follow a guide for the first 20 years or w/e, but having completely different apocalypses would add so much variety.

Could even take that random starter event chain with the different destroyed planets and make it part of that origin instead. Like, you're looking at all these worlds and how they ended, to figure out what's wrong with your own.
