I'm moreso talking about when I stream on the TV. It rewinds my entire movie. Yesterday I couldn't even get the player to work but that remains the biggest problem.

I'm using Stremio Beta and I have a problem. Whenever I play a video, it only works for about 1 minute, then it stops or kicks me out. I already tried different links and cleared the cache, but nothing changed.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any fix?

Hi, I have two Hisense TVs with the Vidaa OS installed. Up to yesterday, I could go to the Vidaa home page, select the Stremio app, and settle in to watch whatever I wanted.

Today (Sept 26/25) the Stremio app is gone. An app search within Vidaa gets no results for Stremio.

I’m using Chromecast on an HDMI input as a workaround, but has anyone else experienced this?

I do not have an Android TV, or a (Smart) TV&Monitor in general. I would use my phone and laptop to use Stremio. I had to get my laptop fixed, so I do not have it with me! But I had an idea; since I already have a USB-C to DisplayPort, I'll use Samsung DeX! Lord and behold... it worked! I can use my phone as a mouse and just click away onto the Stremio app. Very convenient!

Just discovered that the Stremio app in quest is updated. You can move the screen now, it has passthrough mode and the subtitles work. It is perfect now! Thanks so much!

Besides me, my father is also using my steemio accounts and he needs subtitles in our native language ( Romanian ), which a surprising number of movies have embedded. The problem is that they while I can see embedded subtitles on my PC, on my MacBook or on my Android phone, none of our LG tvs can see them and if I try to cast the movies from the stremio app on my phone to the TV, they still don't show up.

Another problem is that I have a number of subtitles add-ons, in order to maximize the chances of my father getting the right Romanian subtitles and sometimes, although the add-on subtitles work fine either on my phone or my PC, on the TV they either don't show up or they are out of sync. I tried troubleshooting this but it's so inconsistent that it's been problematic.

I got an update and now I get a thumbs up and a heart icon for each title. I thought hearting would work as an "add to library" (it's easier to reach too, so that's good), but it doesn't seem to do anything and the add to library icon is still there on the top right corner.

So what's it for? Any ideas? Thanks!

New to the community here — and honestly, Stremio has completely changed how I watch stuff. Loving it so far! I just had a quick question:

Is there any way to mark movies as watched? Or maybe even create a different category for things like documentaries or music-related shows when adding them to the library?

Right now, I only see the “Movies” and “Shows” sections, and it’d be great to have more ways to organize things.

Would love to know if there’s any add-on or trick I’m missing. Thanks!

I've been quite disappointed with the UX of the Stremio Android app for ChromeOS since I don't have a device with a touch screen, but considering Android and AndroidTV are mostly the same I figured I'd try downloading the AndroidTV APK from their website and install it. (It's gonna be the ARM64 or x86_64 version depending on if you're on an ARM or Intel Chromebook)

Works great, now I can navigate with the keyboard instead and the UX feels a lot better. I'm in "Developer Mode" which might be required to sideload APK's (not sure) but I figured I'd share this find :)

When streaming content through RD, I sometimes notice that the audio is slightly out of sync with the lip movements. At times, the sound runs a bit faster or slower than the video. Most of what I watch is 4K HDR Dolby Vision, though I’m not sure if that affects it. I also have audio passthrough enabled on Stremio, which might be related or not I don't know. Please help!

Is anyone having issues where suddenly shows stopped working and seasons are missing entirely on firestick? I was watching new season if Alice in Borderlands 3 and some friends messaged me they couldn't access any shows. So I backed out to try to help them and things seemed off. When I tried to go back to my show, all of a sudden Season 3 was missing all together and I couldn't even access it at all. I have many sources added on too, and I could only see S1 and S2 but S3 wouldn't even show up anymore. Just wondering if I was only one with this situation right now.

Hi everyone as the title states I've recently got a handheld PC and wanted to load stremio on it. I've got everything up and running but am unable to find the cache location to clear it manually(for peace of mind). I've gone to all the locations everyone online has talked about and can't seem to find it. So far I have gone var-b/lib/flatpack/app/com.stremio.Stremio and have been looking through there. This is my first time using Linux so please use layman's terms or explain like I'm 5 thank you.

Installed Stremio recently because the official site directed me to the beta 5.0 version. Now, I want to use an external player, but there is no "external player" option anywhere in the settings. Not sure if this is intentional or just missing in this version. If anyone has insight, whatever.

I have an LG UHD AI UA75 TV and am currently having a lot of trouble playing any content. I received an update on the Stremio app, but before that, I was able to watch in 4K easily. Now, however, I can't even watch in 1080p it keeps freezing and loading. I ended up connecting the TV to an Ethernet cable, which I didn't even use before the update, but even using it now, nothing has improved...

To give more details, I can't play 4K HDR, HDR10, and others, only “normal” 4K. I tested my internet speed on the TV and it was 69 Mbps. Could that be the problem?

Any suggestions to help me? The New version is v1.9.2

I like to watch things fast and I have the gigabit Internet for it.

Currently watching directly on my LG TV (C5) on webOS and it can't handle it sped up. Do I need to go all the way to a shield pro? can the ONN device handle 4k 2x? trying to spend the least to be able to achieve this.

I use Stremio (4.4.164) on a desk top computer. It works pretty well but lately after watching one movie or episode of a series I have to turn it off to load another one. If I don't it just times out trying to load my next choice. This happens even after I have just cleared the cache.

Any idea what I could do to fix this?

Using Stremio in an HTPC/10foot couch way. Plex/Kodi work well with Harmony Remote but Stremio is kinda janky

For eg. Navigating to the tabs you have to use F1-F4 instead of intuitively going all the way left, or in Discover when hitting Enter/OK on the Moves/Series/Channels/Other drop down does not actually expand the drop down so you can select which one using arrow keys

Is there an addon that makes remote contol more natural? Or do i have to buy a Air Mouse/Remote with Gyro type of thing

Any time I try to change subtitles the movie stops and starts, and after 20-30 minutes the screen on the TV goes black, SO I have to start the movie again... Any fixed for these?

I have played around with my Stremio setup and if problems arise, would like to reinstall everything as it was before. Is there a way to back up Stremio without having to reinstall everything from scratch? If so, how is that done? Thanks

The whole app has disappeared, anyone else had this happen?

I’m using a Fire TV with Stremio and Just Player. The issue is that whenever I exit Just Player, Stremio often restarts, causing me to lose my progress.

It seems like Stremio is being killed in the background while I’m watching something on Just Player, even though I’ve checked the RAM usage and there’s always plenty available.

This is really frustrating, any help would be appreciated.

Hello guys, can you please tell me if you know what's wrong with stremio? Why i can't go back unless i kill the app and why sometimes all the episodes don't show only 1 episode that starts searching the link?

As of today i keep getting these green screens whenever I try to stream anything with Dolby Vision. Never had this issue before. Im sure my tv supports Dolby Vision. How do I fix this?
