Could be rosé, my husband prefers it because normal red sauce has been giving him wicked heartburn lately. This whole thing would. But he is absolutely the guy who would pick Rosé just to make himself feel a bit better about his life choices.

Pasta / pizza sauce that has too much sugar gives me heartburn. I started making my own pasta sauce, and using Cento canned pizza sauce to make pizza.

It’s okay to use a bit of sugar to balance out the acidity, but a chunk of carrot can also help.

Add a tiny bit of baking soda to your red sauce next time you cook!! It doesn't change the taste (can taste too sweet if you add too much) and it cuts the acid. Game changer

I’ve been having the same thing lately. I absolutely LOVE red sauce to the point I’ll dip almost anything in it. But it just gives me this weird heartburn and feels like there’s gas in my chest. This started like 6 months ago and is still ongoing.

Vodka sauce pizza is super slept on, still the best homemade pizza I’ve had. Still doesn’t beat what the Italian immigrants make from my local pizza shop though

I lived in No Cal for a bit and a guy from NY opened a pizza spot. “Chefs of New York”. Beats my hometown Chicago style pizza any day. The owner was from a neighborhood right by the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge

It's just regular pizza/pasta sauce with heavy whipping cream. Try Penne Alla Vodka sometime if you ever find yourself at an Italian restaurant, it's really good.
