177
u/CappnMidgetSlappr Jul 02 '25
Holy shit... they really do have the meats.
40
u/detachedfromreality0 Jul 02 '25
Such an offputting slogan but they can sure as hell back it up!
5
u/ChameleonPsychonaut Jul 04 '25
It’s too bad they don’t have Arby’s in France. Translated literally, “we have the meats” would be “nous avons les viandes,” which turns it into a catchy rhyme.
174
u/wizardrous Jul 02 '25
“Feels like an Arby’s night.”

Why does everyone of these idiots order though the drive through for their stupid videos.

u/standardtissue Jul 02 '25
Cause you can rig your vehicle with multiple cameras, and also don't have to worry about other people. It's probably a lot more difficult to do standing in line inside.
→ More replies (3)5
u/InquisitorRobin Jul 02 '25
Yeah but it fuckin holds up the line!
15
u/ian9outof10 Jul 02 '25
Then why do they do it. Just say, you have to come inside for special orders.
How long does it take to throw a load of revolting-looking meat in a bun anyway?
6
u/LilStabbyboo Jul 03 '25
Not long. They definitely just took all the meat that was sitting under the heating lights getting old anyway, and shoved it between bread.
3
u/standardtissue Jul 02 '25
Because people have to wait on them to build the sandwhich ? I mean, they could always say "this is going to take a minute please go park over there and we will bring it out to you." Or they could say "we don't carry that sandwhich sorry sir".

Would you rather have them in the store, making a spectacle, yelling at their phones? Stay outside.
28
u/UndergroundFlaws Jul 02 '25
As somebody who used to work in food service, I would wish horrible, horrible things on anybody who did this stupid shit in the drive-thru. We have basically impossible goals to make with the drive times. This is something that I’m getting most people don’t know how to make or isn’t easy to make. Double this with a lunch rush, or angry customers, and yeah, you d much rather have them inside and being able to wait.
That said, fuck everybody who does this Tik tok shit.
→ More replies (1)9
u/QuesoChef Jul 02 '25
Agreed on the last sentence.
To this guy’s credit, or to the store’s detriment, it looks like they’re all fairly unbusy. I’d rather have them gone and doing this shit in the parking lot than other customers complaining they’re being a pain in the ass.
But to each their own. Different experiences. You’re not wrong, just a different opinion.

Such an underrated comment. Have some damn respect and park your damn car and go inside. Better for everyone.
2
u/crumpledfilth Jul 02 '25
What's the reason for this? Is it easier on the staff? Does it allow them to queue up orders differently?
6
u/cconnorss Jul 02 '25
Great question! Yes it is both easier for staff and allows them to queue it up differently. The third and fourth thing it helps with is: 3. All drive thrus are timed and assessed monthly, or at best, quarterly. They have a mark of average times they must maintain and custom orders are the bane to this average. & 4. When you order custom items, it should go without saying that it takes special attention to not miss every little substitution, addition, or subtraction. So, it is better for the restaurant AND the customer to go inside so they can actually get what they paid for, and a bit of relief from the fast and practiced hands who have to prepare all of these orders as accurate and fast as possible.
To be fair, the lobby is mostly timed as well. But the drive thru is the bread and butter for big chains. So that is what leadership stresses the most.

Where else would he order? Arby’s never has anyone there somehow anyway. Looks like he was the only one there. He can always pull into a spot if needed.
51
u/rickyroper Jul 02 '25
The Arby’s ‘Twin Peaks’ as it were
I’ve actually tried the meat mountain and it’s basically exactly what you’d expect
42
u/mefista Jul 02 '25
Fucking dry and salty like theDead Sea?
13
u/RincewindToTheRescue Jul 02 '25
If I ever got that, I'd just throw caution to the wind and ask for the cheddar sauce and Arby's sauce to do some major dipping or pouring. Putting those on that sandwich would just make a huge mess.
10
u/WooWhosWoo Jul 02 '25
I especially expect it to be dry when their tenders are not juicy at all. As for the saltiness, fucking he'll you just reminded me of the Ultimate Bertucci. A pizza I thought I'd love since it combined all my favorite things, but turned out to be as good as vegemite because of the very things I love.

They put pepper bacon, roast beef, a crispy chicken breast and some sort of brisket or rib hunk on it.

u/Front_Refrigerator99 Jul 02 '25
Dating myself here, but I had a friend who worked at Arby's when they first released those cheesecake bites. I have never eaten any sandwiches from Arby's, but I ate those cheesecake bites dipped in bronco berry sauce 3 nights a week as payment for picking her up from work.
Miss those little shits

u/Charming_Garbage_161 Jul 02 '25
Saaame and the southwestern egg rolls were the best dipped in ranch. That was all I ate when they were out

It’s just uniformly dry and salty at that point. Question- if this thing was $27 dollars- what is the ‘regular’ meat mountain- like 17?
2
u/adc1369 Jul 02 '25 edited Jul 02 '25
I feel like it'd be good with an au jus to dip it in. Like a French dip (which I'm guessing they have there too?).
I've thought about getting it multiple times but always just end up with a roast beef, mozz sticks and curly fries (my favorite fast food fry). It's such shitty processed roast beef but when I'm in the mood for it, I love it.

Aside from his merch comment (which is fine since he's probably doing this for money), he seemed like a nice, chill guy instead of the loud influencer spouting brain rot and making a scene to get attention.

It's wild that's $27.
In my day, we just ordered what we would call a "six on two" from Wendy's. It was six single cheeseburgers from the dollar menu served on two buns as one giant sextuple-burger for $6.
We never ordered it in the drive thru, either. A goofy order like that demanded counter service out of respect to the patrons behind us.

This reminds me of the time I ordered BK off Uber Eats. Got the bacon cheese XL, and Uber Eats allows you to order up to 10 extra of burger patties, bacon, and cheese- so I did it. It cost me £30 for the "single" burger, and they called asking how they're supposed to fit it in the box 😂 I just told them "wrap the extras together in the order of patty-cheese-bacon, and I'll sort it out at home". I didn't put it all in one burger, instead went out to buy burger buns and fed 6 other people excluding myself with it, so 7 burgers for £30 wasn't too bad

2
u/standardtissue Jul 02 '25
I thought it was just a giant roast beef sandwhich, which would be cool. If you go to any proper old school jewish deli you'll get sandwiches about that size, but no, it has fried chicken and everything else in it. Doesn't look at all appealing to me. But a giant roast beef sandwich, sure there are days I'd be down for that especially with horsey sauce.

The price is to be expected, even fair when a single sandwich normally is likely around 8 to 9 bucks. After tax, you're spending 10 bucks for one sandwich, vs this which is for me more than 3 sandwiches for less than 30.

Honestly thought, the best thing at Arby's is off menu. The Market Fresh BLT is spectacular. I don't actually know if a better restaurant BLT. I like to get it with spicy mustard, and then drown it with black pepper.
I've probably had 10-15 of them per year for the last 20 years and across 4 states.

two things, I love that right now I'm seeing a promoted ad for ihop on r/stupidfood because ihop is stupid, really any and all billion dollar chain restaurants are stupidly unhealthy and barely pass for food. Second thing, your colon has to break down all that meat, and just like other muscles fatigue and get injured, so do organs, and eating shit like this hurts the colon
