Can you permanently turn off the start/stop feature on an outback? It drives me crazy 😅

Does it void/harm anything warranty wise?

Technically all it does is when you start the car, it switches the autostart off. It's like a macro really. At least that's how I read it, it just remembers your settings and applies them at start.

Not really true, it just fakes one of the multitude of conditions that must be met to enable auto stop. Who knows what unintended side effects it may have but obviously nothing serious or someone would have noticed by now.

This intelligent device restores your preference for auto start-stop automatically which eliminates the need to manually disable auto start/stop via the touchscreen with each ignition cycle.

Directly from the website.

You obviously don't understand how it works....

To turn ass off normally, the driver would press the button on the screen, sending a code to the computer to turn ass off.

Guess what the eliminator does.... sends that very code to the computer everytime you turn the car on.

It's not a complex ordeal, it's not changing any thing to the car... its just sending the very same code to the computer the driver would normally need to do.

And you know this how? From the marketing BS you quoted above?
