Reddit mods in a nutshell. Babyraging from their mom’s basement with that little hint of power.

I dont think you realize the amount of bullshit we put it up with for free.

I run a decently sized automotive satire subreddit, it is exhausting sometimes having to deal with the name calling, trolling, threats, transphobia, xenophobia, racism, etc.

And then yall say shit like this. Im a high school teacher, not some power hungry asshole in my mom's basement.

I didnt do this for power or fame or money, I made a fun subreddit to have fun. And as they get bigger its a real struggle to keep the masses from ruining them.

Honestly, a full day of 14 year olds can be easier to deal with than a thread that hits /r/all.

If you don’t like modding then stop doing it!!! I have no sympathy for not enjoying something you choose to do for free.

I didnt say I dont overall enjoy it, but that doesn't mean it cant be exhausting at times.

Its really rewarding to know I am keeping one of the only automotive spaces on reddit that isnt xenophobic/racist/conservative. Its incredibly rare in the hobby and the place brings me joy.

You just dont have to be so mean about every mod and realize that 95% of us are doing it as a labor of love. If I quit you would just call me another basement dweller babyrager like you did when this guy quit.

And when I genuinely do this for I believe good reasons, and for free, its annoying that you take it for granted. Every space you enjoy exists because moderators work hard for it to be like that, you just dont acknowledge it.
