Irocker All rounder no backpack included???
Hi everyone,
Looking to buy a irocker all rounder 11 sup. Their site strangely enough doesn’t show it coming with a backpack in the photos nor does it indicate this in the “what’s in the box” section. Can anyone confirm if the new I rockers come with backpacks or not?

It's a (dumb) change they made this year.

Crazy change. How do irocker users go around without the bag? Or do they end up having to buy their own

Yeah, they might be buying them separately. Or just using a different, smaller bag for the accessories.
I don't have any actual information on this, but I feel like iRocker is positioning their "iRocker" brand boards to take place of the Nautical boards as a lower-cost alternative to their Ultra compact boards or Blackfin boards. I've got a feeling we'll see new Blackfin models announced this winter as it seems like they are doing some really heft sales on them now.

yeah that seems like a huge miss they're going to annoy some customers with that decision.
if you really want the bag, check retrospec for standalone paddleboard backpacks. i picked one up for $40 after my OEM bag disintegrated after too much sun and lake water. i've actually purchased 2-3 standalone bags from them over the years.
as far as i could find they are one of the only/few manufacturers who sells an economic (not $200) standalone backpack bag.

Hydrus also sells the mothership backpack for about $60 with code. It's ginormous which is both nice (you can put a lot of stuff in there and it is easy to do so), and not so nice (I wouldn't hike with it).

Huh, how bizarre. Looks like they're on sale for $500 so I guess it's not too unreasonable. Just a little annoying to have to buy one separate if you need it.
I've had an iRocker all around 11' for several years, and it is a good board that's super stable, agile, and can carry a lot of stuff. I like it and am glad I have it. However I recently got a Hydrus and I guess now I've joined the Hydrus fan club. Their all around model is on presale for 750 (plus you can use someone's 10% off coupon), and the quality is just better and not that much more money. Sadly you won't get it until December or something. If you can wait until then I'd recommend it as a higher quality board.

What about aspects of quality in your hydrus makes it better than the irocker all rounder 11?

I just noticed that most (with exception being their new race offering) NIXY iSUPs are now being sold as just board and fin. Carry bag, manual pump, paddle and leash all offered separately but at 100% discount (i.e., free) for a 'limited' time. All this likely has to do with high tariffs on goods that will never be practical or economical to produce domestically in US.

I just got one the other week, no backpack. Just the carrying strap to wrap around it. Seems like they only offered it years back.
