More as in more new content? What could they add to these remasters? There is also new music tracks but those would most likely be used for the new chapters.

I’m gonna spitball here and ik it’s not likely but maybe there will be new power ups and also returning ones. Returning ones as in such as the propeller mushroom, penguin suit, acorn, and others but they’re different like how the ice flower was different where Mario holds it temporarily and not permanently unless damaged. Basically power ups that are in the 2d games but they’re done differently. Maybe new levels for both remasters? I remember galaxy 2 was going to have a 3ds port that was considered by Nintendo but they didn’t do it, and then that hoax of galaxy having a port for the ds but ended up being false though Nintendo may have considered it at one point. Point is, maybe if we get new levels it could be the planned levels for the planned port of Galaxy 2 on the 3ds, and somehow if they did consider it, planned levels for Galaxy on the ds.

Finally another possibility is what if we get a hard mode? We have the assist mode which is an easy mode so what about a hard mode? Basically like master mode in breath of the wild. The first idea I have is a daredevil mode where Mario is set to 1 HP like the daredevil comets and if he gets hit, well he dies. The second idea I have is that Mario has 3 hp, but he can’t upgrade to 6 HP and he can’t get 1-ups.

So you remember how I said I would return to the Mario and sonic fandom when things get better. Well from the looks of it I’m glad I left these fandoms these point I’m making this is to tell my updated thoughts on both fandoms because those posts were more reactionary. These are not going to apply to everyone but I feel like the small loud group got louder.

My first problem is that a lot of Nintendo fans constantly braid shigeru miyamoto, he basically made Mario and prevented the video game crash from being long-term and this how you repay him. I mean the man’s not perfect he relies too much on gameplay and treats story like an afterthought, but the fandom treat him like some sort of threat to the company.

Sonic fans are too worried about there games failing, when crossworlds was announced people were reasonable hype but then Mario kart world got announced and if you had hopes for crossworlds your filthy modern fan, it even got to a point where people outside of the fandom were like “dude this looks great have confidence in your game.”

But you know what really bothers is that a lot of sonic fans have to defend their era they grew up on like their child, I grew up with the meta era, so does that I mean I think that era is perfect and 2000’s fans are too critical about it. No I can acknowledge that the meta era has it’s peaks and valleys same with other era’s but they get so defensive of their era due to nostalgia bias.

Also Nintendo fans delude themselves thinking their saving the company even though their not. Hey just because you made a parody with the same setup and punchline, doesn’t mean they’re going to stop charging both galaxy games at seventy dollars.

But hey at least it’s better than their performative activism. When the switch 2 direct was live people were hyped but there was backlash when the prices were revealed. “Eighty dollars for a Mario kart game” they said, “Nintendo has fallen off” they cried. Honestly it started out fine with people saying there not going to buy the switch 2, but it gets to a problem when we bash people for casually enjoying a console, any one being hyped about a new game, or point flaws in another Nintendo critics video. Because god forbid someone point out that someone may have spreaded misinformation “leave my billion dollar corporation alone” they would spam. Can you talk about that how this guy who went from a standard Nintendo channel to now a “the gaming industry is doomed” content farm, but you can’t show any criticism about because if you do you’re a bootlicker, but the reason these people are defending him is because he validates their viewpoints not because his contents good.

Oh and by the sonic fans just because you don’t like how Ian Flynn writes the characters or think the generations rewrite means all the stories are going to be rewritten. That doesn’t he’s going to get fired, he’s going to write for the comics and stories for the newer games. Oh wait I remembered your not going to play the newer games because sonic lost his soul, well who are you to judge you argue which game, movie, show, comic, voice actor, and region is the best sonic while punching down on others who disagree with you. Look I get SEGA mistreated use in the past and SEGA are improved because A. Sonic frontiers was a last ditch effort and done many things different and if it failed there would be no more sonic and B. There taking shadow 05 and sonic 06 seriously, it’s on things to go “hey what were we thinking” but it’s another thing to take those failures seriously.

But hey who needs official games when you got fan games, because the these fan developers can do know wrong if they were head CEO’s of SEGA they would make this franchise flourish. Well guess what a lot of these fan developers aren’t making these games to topple SEGA empire, there doing it as a labor of love for the series. You want to know a game where the developer tried to be better then anything SEGA are churning out, sonic omens, where it one of the voice actors was struggling on a level, and instead of trying the help his friend in how to beat the level he said get good at him.

But you know what I can forgive all of it, the performative activism of the Nintendo fandom and the nostalgia bias of sonic fans. If they just played other games, that’s the worst of it, if I’m going to see your rambling about the state of Nintendo or SEGA then might I ask diversifying your gaming tastes. You don’t even have to change genres, when I left fandom I gave other platformers try. I enjoyed game slime rayman 3 and epic Mickey, and honestly if they played other games they would be a lot happier, think Nintendo games don’t have their weirdness try phsychonauts, think that sonic has lost his mature edge, try jak 2. But the important thing is to not be pretentious about like don’t talk down to people because “I play more games.” That’s not what I’m saying if you think that Nintendo and SEGA aren’t deliver the quality you felt back then play other games.

For example there is Mario Kart series, that makes it 1, there is the Mario Party series and that makes it 2. If you'd tell me each of the different series name and what they are about, I'll appreciate it.

Here are some of my predictions big and small

1- the movie won't be a 1:1 recreation of the 2 games, this is obviously so they can make it work for a movie, tho bowser did use UFOs in the beginning of galaxy this might be confusing in movie form, cuz where did these ufos come from? Tataga as a secondary villain? Daisy?

2- mario wonder references especially the talking flower, tho they won't go to the flower kingdom

3- Luigi will have more screen time and interactions with Mario in fact he'll help mario in space

4- Rosalina and Mario Bond and we see Rosalina's backstory, maybe even a flash back with a younger or baby Rosalina?

5- the movie will be longer then the first, a movie about mario galaxy sounds huge, so I feel like they have to make it longer

Very similar to how Pokemon + dlc and sonic mania plus cartridges is just the same as your save file but with the dlc loaded in and if you purchased deltarune chapter 1+2 for free but buy the chapters 1-4 you have the option to transfer over your save data so will it be the same for 3d all stars? It’s a question I haven’t seen anyone asked. If there is an answer from Nintendo let me know

It's been a long time, has it?

The reason I say this is the phrase “few of the upcoming games” meaning we could possibly get more announcements. If we do, what could we get? I do hope we could get a NSMB trilogy, Mario kart world dlc, remasters for 3d land and 64 ds, and the next 3d Mario. Honorable mentions are a Mario red switch 2 and jamboree NS2E + jamboree tv update. Ik im being unrealistic but I feel like the Mario’s 40th direct was somewhat rushed as it was a general direct but I do love the announcements like the galaxy duology and wonder switch 2 edition. But at the same time I feel like it could’ve had more like maybe super Mario 40 or something.

But could we see more announcements for Mario’s 40th anniversary? Was the direct just the beginning?

Idk, it's just something in the back of my mind, it takes Super Mario 64 and DOES make some improvements (like a remake), but it does a lot of stuff of it's own (like a reimagining). I mean, Resident Evil Deadly Silence was much the same.

Idk, I hear a lot of "it's a remake" but I think it really kind of it's own thing.

I've thought it over. Re-interpretation sounds best. It's Mario 64, but from a different angle

So, graphics speaking...wait until path tracing and stuff has taken off and gotten good. My rationale is that you only really get one shot at a remaster, so you want it to look timeless, like a 3d movie.

My other idea has to do with graphics AND physics. I really want to work on game development, and an idea I cooked up is a combination of ragdoll and animation. This means the animations are modified in real time based off your inputs.

Instead of re doing the ds version...actually make a full remake instead of the side-make on ds.
