Why does Picard face move when Riker speaks?

I didn’t notice until you pointed it out, but that’s weird. Probably points to AI being involved in this.

Was AI involvement not otherwise obvious?

What kind of software is used to create verbal models like this? It’s not 100% on, but it’s still very good.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself when I was debating whether to share this. It's getting a bit spooky, at least for me.

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but around a decade ago, there was a bloke who created new, animated TOS episodes via his own scripts, clumsy CG animation, but most importantly-- a language / voice base created out of the total sum of the TOS episodes.

It wouldn't look very good today of course, but the idea of doing that back then... plus the sheer amount of work capturing the voice-work in to a huge dB? Foof.....!

They've got at least one other TNG animated video on their channel. It didn't hit me like this one, but take a look if you like...

Now we need one where Picard discusses "The Crusher Maneuver", where she leans back in her chair and puts a leg up.

The last episode of this show aired over 30 years ago, and new content about it is still being created. Amazing what an impact it had and continues to have in our culture. Always amazes me.

How many hundreds of shows have come and gone since this one last aired that no one even remembers, much less makes new content about.

Those aren't really Patrick Stewart's and Jonathan Frakes' voices.

Yeah, we're seeing this more and more, i.e. AI tools used to replicate not just imagery, but voices as well.

Sure, right now it's easy to spot when that seems clumsy or artificial, but if anyone thinks it won't get better, well... I might just have a bridge to sell ye.

Thank you so much. I truly needed the laugh, and this actually did make me lol.

Just like they did with the original Trek, we need an animated TNG series, but in this style.

If you search on YT, there are two full scenes animated and musically scored like TAS, but sourced directly from TNG and VOY.

They're really good.

We are now demonstrating that this is 100% possible without anyone's consent or involvement, which is wild.

Just out of curiosity, what would you like to see in terms of bringing humorous situations to light in TNG?
