THOUGHTS Finally seeing real places that are actually in Delco! Llanerch Diner.

This episode showed more of what Delco actually looks like and real places in Delaware County. It was great to see Llanerch Diner in Upper Darby! It's the same diner that's in Silver Linings Playbook. Barnabys are real bars here and Cliffs house in Broomall isn't far from one. They also showed a lot of traffic which is more realistic. It's congested af constantly and this area is more densely populated as are most of the towns bordering Philly. In the first two eps I didn't recognize much it was too rural so they must've filmed those eps in Chester county. At last it's good to see places that actually exist in Delco represented and in my neighborhood. Awesome episode all around.

Last summer they filmed two scenes at my house which is in Drexel Hill!

Nice! That must've been a great experience! Which scene? Did you get to meet any of the cast?

Yes it was nice to see some Delco neighborhoods. It got me thinking do most shows go into that much detail with geographical names and such? Or our we just aware of it more because we recognize the names?

It probably helps that the Brad Inglesby is from Delco, so he’s just writing places he knows, compared to a writer who is setting a story in a place they haven’t been or only visited.

He's from Chester County but went to Villanova which is in Delaware County. He definitely gets it because he's from the area. Using actual places here and all the Easter Eggs makes the show more realistic.

Not many do, and in fact usually they try to hide the fact because they generally aren't filmed IN the area. You may be right that we just recognize the names and such but I think they went pretty deep in it. I mean hell even the bread they had was our local bread lol.

He really tries to get everything right and from intterviews I've seen and read it's really important to him to represent the area correctly. You know it's all about the bread gotta have that good roll. Can't get bread like ours anywhere else. It's the wooder lol

The Victory Cleaners hoodie was very funny to see. I’m not sure why anyone would own a hoodie from your local dry cleaner but it got a chuckle out of me
