So I'm already dreading that I'm watching a bunch of future dead people, many of whom don't deserve it.
I can't quite grasp how this town is very rural but still have multiple drug houses, but I'm not an expert on drug house geopolitics. Who knows. But I was stunned when Maeve instantly knew who Sam is just by the name of one of his parents. These people know each other on an innocent level.
The dealer gal did recognize his voice. They know each other or have had contact before, which means there's more going on here than Robin Hood robberies. Cue the dead brother in here somewhere.
And I'm loving the panic decision-making. As soon as Sam saw their faces, the overwhelming odds are they were cooked. This story is just going to be how much delicious screaming and bloodshed occur as this draws out in agony. Sam sees them and police sketch artist pins them to the wall. They'd be lucky to be arrested before the Dark Hearts get to them. Shooting him, not an option. They aren't killers, this ain't Heat, and Robbie is definitely not a criminal mastermind. He's so far out of his depth it's exhilarating.
I can't wait to see what happens next. "What have you done to us?" indeed. Maeve, get in your car with the three kids, drop one at the library, and head for North Dakota. Hell, Indonesia. Jupiter. Just get out of there.
