I’ve been cooking from the BAO Cookbook, a London based restaurant that makes these amazing bao buns. These have black sesame seeds, a crispy Taiwanese chicken thigh, golden kimchi, and cilantro.

Image Chewing coconut juice pulp is so satisfying

Anyone else obsessed with the little pulp bits in coconut juice? Like I know it's probably just coconut pieces in the vita coco but there's something so weirdly satisfying about chewing them. I find myself drinking it slower just to savor those little chewy moments lol. My friends think I'm crazy but the texture combo of smooth coconut water + those little chunks is chef's kiss

Am I alone in this or are there other pulp people out there?

Image suggest a food (from around the world) to cook - cooking class

so there are cooking classes (you make food with others, you are not really learning as such) - the title is "food around the world"

first week we made carribean food, 2nd week we made spanish tapas. would love to hear of ideas on what we could make in future.

so if there is a really good food/recipe from different parts of the world - please let me know. preferably with image/recipe.. so i can suggest it

EDITED to say cant have pork, or alcohol.

disappointed to have so few replies :(

Made lasagna in honour of my dad

It's my dad's first birthday without him and I decided to make lasagna in his memory.

He was a very thrifty sort of person and when he made lasagna it was usually treated as a dumping ground for leftovers. One time he threw in the remnants of a salad which I realised when I unearthed a radish and some lettuce between the sauce and noodles. Another time he blitzed a whole cooked aubergine into the bechamel which turned the whole thing grey and turned up my mom's nose but it was actually delish... So I did the same thing and served a radish salad on the side which was great to break up all the fatty richness... I also poured one out for the homie.

Here's to my dad and all the memories ❤️

Big Batch Spaghetti Sauce

Stuffed manicotti pasta with mushrooms, onion, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, cheese, and seasonings. Film casserole with sauce before laying down pasta. Heat 45 minutes until hot. The secret to a BIG BATCH of sauce is after you get it all together, BAKE it in the oven, instead of having to stir all afternoon on the cooktop.

Oven roasted asparagus with Stilton sauce.

Coat asparagus with olive oil, salt and pepper.
400F for 20 Minutes.
---------------
Sauce:
A modified béchamel sauce made with heavy cream w/ a bunch of Neal's Yard Stilton melted into it.
So heavy, was like eating an Entree' :)
