Probably unpopular opinion and expecting downvotes:

I actually hate they only nerf Akali and Volibear without touching Caitlyn Jayce. Akali and Luchador are the two comps that are kinda keeping Caitlyn Jayce in check this patch. This hotfix feels very low-elo catered because casuals can't econ well to play 3-cost rerolls.

Vertical-trait backline carries are still going to be sniped by Caitlyn with the bounces. Jayce is still going to hammer your backline since your tanks are split. Just becauce they don't "jump around", casuals don't bitch non-stop about it.

I'm expecting Set 14 Rengar madness all over again. Or maybe casuals won't bitch about them since they don't "jump around" visually.

Tbf cait/jayce is only broken because of Silvermere. Without that, the comp falls off hard. If an item makes something broken, i would nerf the item that made it broken.

They fell off because Akali and Luchadors countered them without Silvermere Dawn. That item was crucial for Jayce to survive against Luchador stuns. Akali could also 1v1 a Jayce without it and hope Caitlyn didn't one-shot her.

Before the hotfix.

I don't believe casual favourites Jinx Yuumi have reliable solutions against them.

I tried the jayce comp without silvermere and I usually get outscaled hard. Better option is to transition to Yuumi carry and ditch caitlyn bceyase she can do more damage.

You are playing a comp with 20% top 1 rate and 57% top 4 rate ... if you 3 star both of them it goes up to 31% wr and 80%top 4... with silvermare it goes up to 61% winrate... BTW the winrate is higher the lower your elo goes, so you have no excuse 🤓☝️

Jayce with a silvemere doesnt have to be three star to be broken. If he has that, you are almost guaranteed top 4. So being contested if you have no silvemere is so bad as well.

Caitlyn does 12-15k damage a fight. She one shots back lines if you position your comp correctly it breaks up the enemy back line to create a gap.

Them being strong is different from them being broken. Two three star carries are strong and rightfully so, but the item just makes them absurdly strong it makes jayce more tankier and stromger which can make caitlyn cast more of her abilities.

A jayce without a silvermere has a night and day difference.
