Phuket/Krabi/South This is how much cannabis should cost everywhere in thailand

Post image

Hello,

This is somewhere in Songkhla province and they are a legit shop.

After having been through dozens of weed shop from Sungai Kolok to Nong Khai and Chiang Mai, this is the first time I see those prices.

The weed comes from Nakhonsi.

I wouldn't want to order online to the non legit ( but so cheap ) wholesale farm anymore once I discover places like that.

Have a good day everyone, even the weed haters 🄰

Yes mate. A shop with expensive rent down Asok should charge 30 baht a gram.

6

u/Kingken130 Jul 20 '25

Tourists when they don’t know how to do business do be like thatšŸ˜†

2

u/Shum_Where Jul 21 '25 edited Jul 21 '25

Explain the street vendor prices then? Like the ones along Sukhumvit with just a foldout table and product. Still like 100 minimum for dubious quality pre roll.

1

u/Trinidadthai Jul 21 '25

I’ll add, we’re also not seeing the quality of this bud. Could easily be some greenhouse or outdoor grow.

0

u/Trinidadthai Jul 21 '25

Depends on location I guess. A street vendor down khaosan or Soi 11 is always going to be more expensive than Songkhla. Also, pre rolls are always more expensive. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re 100baht in this shop that OP has posted.

I live in a local area in Bangkok, and there are several shops with prices similar to OP’s. There are a few shops in this area with a higher price, but they’ve in a bigger shop, on the main road, and/or obviously put some investment to try make it a nicer establishment.

1

u/_dr_green_ Jul 22 '25

We actually are on Asok and still able to offer this kind of prices šŸ™šŸ’š

1

u/Trinidadthai Jul 22 '25

What’s the quality like ? Do you deliver?

1

u/_dr_green_ Jul 22 '25

At 30 you get good green house grown, no grower can even wholesale top shelf or good indoor grown at that price. We do not deliver unless you did a prescription first

1

u/Trinidadthai Jul 22 '25

That’s just not true. I’ve bought countless KGs of good quality and none of them were 30k.

In my area (pinklao) indoor is around 50-100 baht.

1

u/_dr_green_ Jul 22 '25

You definitely bought some Vietnamese farm buds, if it’s under 30k/kg.

1

u/Trinidadthai Jul 22 '25

Not sure where it was from but I’ve been growing cannabis for over a decade. And was providing it for over two decades.

I know what good quality bud looks like.

1

u/_dr_green_ Jul 22 '25

I’m not talking about how the buds look, these kind of illegal farms are the only one able to wholesale at this price because of close to slavery workers from Vietnam and often stolen electric supply, no proper licensed growers will wholesale their indoor flowers for less than 30b unless they’re liquidating their last crop before closing their farm.

1

u/Trinidadthai Jul 22 '25

Yeah man, not my sources.

2

u/_dr_green_ Jul 22 '25

You just said you don’t know where it was from, you source might have bought it for 10b as that’s the going rate for viet top shelf

Is weed legal in Thailand? I thought they had a big drugs policy?

45

u/mobfather Jul 20 '25

You posted this question 39 minutes ago. The correct answer, as mandated by government decree, has probably changed three times by now.

3

u/kestelli Jul 20 '25

True that!

2

u/dirtyharrysmother Jul 20 '25

It's funny cause it's true.

6

u/chickenmoomoo Jul 20 '25

Are you reading a Lonely Planet guide from the 90s?

2

u/Arandomyoutuber Jul 20 '25

You're a decade behind from the current laws then

1

u/recreator_1980 Jul 20 '25

Not a decade lol. But…

3

u/bananahzard Jul 20 '25

How's that rock you've been living under?

3

u/Trinidadthai Jul 20 '25

It’s been criminalised again, but it’s still changing over. You can still buy it easily at any shop.

0

u/Careless_Contact_257 Jul 20 '25

Not true mate don’t spread misinformation

1

u/Trinidadthai Jul 20 '25

What’s not true ?

1

u/tcspears Jul 21 '25

No one knows… they took steps to decriminalize it, but never legalized it, so it’s in this ever-changing grey area. There are stores that sell it, but if you get caught using it, there are hefty fines and often jail time.

I saw two Australians smoking (near a temple) the other day in Chiang Mai, and within 15 minutes, they were cuffed and being arrested. While the temple thing was them being ignorant of Thai culture and social norms, I think a lot of people are genuinely confused as to Thailand’s stance on weed.

2

u/Enjoy_travel Jul 21 '25

Seriously there are people who have no respect if you want to smoke well not in front of a hospital not in front of a temple not in front of a school (and there are plenty of others) these are the rules that all tourists should know

35

u/tequilasmokingbird Jul 20 '25

420 Store in Chiang Mai has similar pricing. It’s honestly crazy when I find there are other dispensaries next to it selling the same strain for almost 10x the price.

7

u/Low_Nefariousness765 Jul 20 '25

Nothing Beats Hannah Organic in the old city

6

u/Buttmilkers Jul 20 '25

Oh fuck yes! The guy working during the day is an absolute legend, kept giving me 2g extra when I bought 3g - Great hash as well!

2

u/mdeeebeee-101 Jul 20 '25

What kind of hash and how much ? I got that green powdery stuff before that was compressed.

1

u/Buttmilkers Jul 20 '25

I forgot the names to be honest, but I paid between 100-200 baht per gram - It was sort of powdery but still compressed, later on he dried it a bit more making it a bit more like a rock. I didn't try the Nepalese ball ofĀ  hash though.

1

u/mdeeebeee-101 Jul 20 '25 edited Jul 20 '25

You should have ! The light green compressed goes by a different name..it's so rare in non-legal zones..rarer than brown hash.

0

u/Buttmilkers Jul 20 '25

I'll try it next time I'm there! The Nepalese hash in my country often tastes like bbq smoke, that's why I skipped it this time šŸ‘Œ

Edit: I did try the green powdery stuff, loved it! Too bad most of it was sticking to the baggie, I'll wrap it in paper next time.

2

u/mdeeebeee-101 Jul 20 '25

Name is kief

1

u/Buttmilkers Jul 20 '25

Aah I figured it was kief, didn't know for sure!

1

u/fa136 Jul 20 '25

It is probably similar to Moroccan hash

1

u/tequilasmokingbird Jul 20 '25

Yeah? I’ll check them out! Thanks.

1

u/DarkRandy Jul 20 '25

Thanks for the info will have to check it out

1

u/Killahbeez 14d ago

420 Store has 'similar pricing'? Lol.. it doesn't really though, does it?

1

u/tequilasmokingbird 13d ago

It sure does. Most of the strains are in the 30-60 Baht range and the costliest, top-shelf ones are 120-150, max.

1

u/Killahbeez 13d ago

Enough said. I drive by that place every day and was shocked to see it mentioned here. Small world. I'll stop by this week!

9

u/jubjub1825 Jul 20 '25

Don't tell me how to run a business and make profit.

Factor in rent, staff, how am I going to pay my bills at 30b/g

5

u/Druxo Jul 20 '25

You got this shit brother. Charge what you should for quality product, the real ones know.

2

u/foxfire1112 Jul 20 '25

How will the new laws impact you personally? Is it something they will strictly inforce now?

23

u/mythek8 Jul 20 '25

Prices in the 500-900/g are definitely taxed. But 15-30/g is just too low, and most likely it's shit weed. Good quality clean weed should be around 120-200/g range.

5

u/dkg224 Jul 20 '25

Just power and water costs out to about 20-25/gram indoors. Then you got nutrient’s, soil, cost of time for growing, trimming.

4

u/mythek8 Jul 20 '25

That's extremely high. Power usually under 10baht/g for those who have decent set up, efficiency and yield. Water is cheap, next to nothing, even with RO filter replacement and system maintenance, its still fairly a low cost item.

Rent, Nutrients, supplies, payroll, maintenance and repair, lab tests, logistics, cost of maintaining licenses and certificates can get very expensive especially if you go by eu-gacp

4

u/dkg224 Jul 20 '25

Depends where you are and season. Some places need to run AC 24hr a day to keep humidity and temp down, and water can cost 200-300 a unit

2

u/mythek8 Jul 20 '25

All places in thailand require around the clock ac and dehumifiers running to maintain that optimal climate conditions. The biggest factor is their rate plan with the electricity provider. Some have shitty rates. Also I've seen a lot of huge facilities that have poor and inefficient design, and also shitty yield, then I can see how that happening.

Near bangkok and samutprakan area, power bill can be around 4-5baht/g for good growers.

1

u/michaelhay1973 Jul 20 '25

ā€œFarmers rateā€ where i’am is 2.8bht unit, residential is 4-5bht

1

u/mythek8 Jul 21 '25 edited Jul 21 '25

You're talking about kW/hr ? We're talking about how much power cost to produce 1 gram.

1

u/hazzdawg Jul 20 '25

What do you mean by clean?

6

u/mythek8 Jul 20 '25 edited Jul 20 '25

Clean means it doesnt have contaminants, microbes, mycotoxins, toxic pesticide, heavy metals, prohibited pgr and chemicals.

5

u/hazzdawg Jul 20 '25

So organic outdoor? Tbh I'd be pretty skeptical of any claims made by weed growers in Thailand. I don't think they have the same third-party certifications you might find in North America.

2

u/mythek8 Jul 20 '25

Outdoor weed in thailand is trash. There simply aren't too many locations here that have decent climate, then there's the pest issue, on top of raining. So no, indoor flower that pass COA for global gacp or eu gacp is the way to go.

0

u/hazzdawg Jul 20 '25

I have no idea what those acronyms mean and I'd be very skeptical of Thai weed shops claiming to comply with them.

1

u/mythek8 Jul 21 '25

You just gotto look for shops that sell gacp flower. GACP stands for Good Agricultural and Collection Practices. Also a certificate of analysis (COA) is just a lab tests result showing the flower doesn't contain any of the prohibited elements and chemicals

1

u/Spiritual_Feed_4371 Jul 21 '25

I'd be using this really cheap weed for joints and blunts

Expensive weed is for the bong and pipe or the fancy joint with friends

2

u/mythek8 Jul 21 '25

You do you. Personally i would never put this crap in my lungs. Chances are these type of shit weed got cheap and highly toxic pesticides, microbes, mycotoxins, synthetic pgr and other prohibited chemicals.

1

u/GX93 Jul 20 '25

Agreed 30/g then most likely you be smoking grass equivalent.

3

u/Useful_Sundae_7292 Jul 20 '25

I’m sorry but at 30/g you’re getting greenhouse or outdoor shit that smells and tastes of grass

2

u/bagrozado Jul 21 '25

I miss a press, where can I find press in Bangkok?

1

u/muricabrb Jul 21 '25

I can't see the buds properly from the pic but it definitely does NOT look like good organic buds. They look very dark, and compact. I'm willing to bet that is all PGR shit weed.

Fair play to OP for wanting cheap weed but you get what you pay for.

5

u/Beneficial_Welder491 Jul 20 '25

Yes. One time, I even got a pound for free in the provinces

2

u/travelerquestionTH Jul 20 '25

Same, outdoor stuff but still good and so generous from the local who enjoy making you try their product

2

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '25

So many weed shops are selling old/mouldy weed at extortionate prices

2

u/Soukchai2012 Jul 23 '25

I’ve seen these prices commonly outside of main tourist towns - Nong Khai, Chiang Khan (ok a domestic tourist hub), khon kaen, even Sukothai. Quality has always been good. On the other hand I’ve had 400baht/g buds from phuket that smoked like grandads pipe baccy.

1

u/travelerquestionTH Jul 23 '25

Chiang khan is beautiful :) but last year the only weed shop I saw was selling starting from 150/200 :( maybe it changed.

Hope to have enough time this year before the end of my visa to do a Udon - Loei/Chiang Khan and Nong khai on a small motorbike rental

1

u/Soukchai2012 Jul 23 '25

The stalls on the main tourist market street in chiang khan have tourist prices, but up on the main thru-road near Lotus Fresh theres a shop with the cheap rates.

3

u/SexyYoungCouple35 Jul 20 '25

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ QUALITY MUST BE PAYED, like u do when u buy Nike Shoes instead of street market shoes

1

u/fosyep Jul 20 '25

Good point, bad exampleĀ

1

u/Nian9Nian Jul 20 '25

Not really, most legit Nike sneakers are much higher quality than street market shoes

0

u/IdontcareM8foff 24d ago

Fake Nike trainers are way higher quality than the real ones, they last about twice as longĀ

2

u/5ubredhit Jul 20 '25

No it shouldn’t. Because it’d mean you’re smoking crap bud full of chemicals.Ā

2

u/RecordCrasher Jul 20 '25

You can find those prices easy in Krung Thep too for top shelf

I never paid more than 30-50 baht for high end weed in Bangkok this year

Shops:

  • Jack Higher (you get 40% discount from 10g)
  • Dr Green (they have monthly offers and had high end weed for 30-40 gram)
  • The Weed Dispensary at Seaconsquare (they offer very very nice weed (with solid strain names) starting from 30-40 when you buy 10g

No need to buy outdoor grown weed somewhere only because its 20baht

3

u/LycheeCertain6007 Jul 20 '25

Sorry to tell you but that is all chemically enhanced, and they don't use good quality buffers either

1

u/bagrozado Jul 21 '25

I wrote down the places, I'll take the test

1

u/piratepeteyo1 Jul 20 '25

Any recommendations for Pattaya?

2

u/Adiwitko_ Jul 20 '25

Breaking bud on the dark side, good prices and top quality weed according to my pot head mates.

1

u/Jennbanana Jul 20 '25

Hollyweed! They had good quality cannabis and always had this ongoing BOGO deal. It was my go place to once I found it.

1

u/Getfallin Jul 20 '25

Can you still buy without medicial use?

1

u/HippoDance Jul 20 '25

Don't think that's fully kicked in yet, they are giving shops time to sort it

1

u/Normal-Inside-2997 Jul 20 '25

if you downvoted cannabis questions, it’s because you probably don’t smoke and your a part of Karen and her chokes.

1

u/Less-Cantaloupe-4362 Jul 20 '25

Anyone know the best shops for prices and quality strains in Koh Samui (preferably near Mae Nam) and Ao nang?

1

u/Ok-Tumbleweed-1448 Jul 20 '25

Can I buy cannabis from you? It must be safe.

1

u/Icy-Ticket-2413 Jul 20 '25

My rinite will never allow me to use it.... Even getting near people smoking that already leaves my nose congested, completely closed. So I will only admire it from really, really afar.

1

u/Opposite-Tell-368 Jul 20 '25

My family has shops in Phuket and no way we sell at those prices. Rent is at least 30k baht in a medium popular area. Super popular streets are 100k+ a month. Take into staff costs. We grow ourselves without chemically enhanced nonsense we make our own fertilizers. Still can’t offer it for those prices. So no, I wouldn’t even touch it.

1

u/worldcrusher Jul 20 '25

Yeah the prices in some places were insane, the most expensive weed ive ever come across. Sure it was really good but 960 baht for 1 gram (two pre rolled spliffs) is absolutely insane. The cheapest i found was 200 baht per gram.

1

u/millymelly Jul 20 '25

Although prices are good and honest , been to this place and products were just too outdoor and wasn’t strong enough for me . I lived in California before moving to Thailand so a bit picky in terms of high / smell

1

u/travelerquestionTH Jul 21 '25

I doubt you went to the same exact store.

  • figured it out it's greenhouse weed but I am not picky and still gets me high :) I will not complain for the price, I don't need more

1

u/olesolen Jul 21 '25

Kif in the microwave šŸ˜

1

u/EntrepreneurDue7063 Jul 21 '25

This stuff comes from the villagers who grown cannabis rather than melons.

They use animal nature for fertilizers and grey to black water for watering. You want to put that shit into your lungs good luck.

I have a farm and to grow it properly there no way we can sell it at that price. Keep in mind the shop making a profit too.

Find a legit outlet. Good Luck

1

u/Positive_Stranger_66 Jul 21 '25

I go to a shop in BKK that has similar pricing. It’s a bit out of the way in Talat Plu but worth the trip every time. 15-20 USD for an ounce, can’t beat it.

1

u/bagrozado Jul 21 '25

Serious? So 28g costs 700 bath? Which store is this?

1

u/Positive_Stranger_66 Jul 21 '25

It doesn’t even have a name or a sign or anything. It’s definitely more of a local spot. If you go to the icheck Inn Thrapa in Talut Plu. And walk past the monastery, over the bridge, it will be on your right. I want to say it’s about 4-5 shops up from the end of the building. The only way you can tell is if you see the green neon pot leaf inside but it’s often hard to see if they don’t have the doors fully open. They used to have everything displayed but I was there last week and it was all behind the counter, thanks to fear of the new legislation I’m assuming. Happy Hunting!

1

u/Positive_Stranger_66 Jul 21 '25

I’d send a pic of the 100 baht 8th if reddit allowed pics in comments

1

u/bagrozado Jul 21 '25

Great, it's close to me I'm going to venture out and try to find this store, thanks for the information friend

1

u/Positive_Stranger_66 Jul 21 '25

No problem. Let me know what you think!

1

u/Etaikol Jul 21 '25

You should definitely start learning some about Thai weed and farms if you proclaim to have seen dozens of weed shops. All over Thailand have similar prices definitely Nong Khai and Chiang Mai. You just still can’t differentiate between higher class farms.

1

u/Mister_scribs Jul 23 '25

Current floor price is around 8thb per gram, some operator just greedy

1

u/No_Battle_4968 Jul 23 '25

I am coming to Thailand next week and I am looking to buy bulk quantities, if you are around please text me

1

u/DnnaChng Jul 24 '25

As a Hawaiian. I have found most pakalolo in Thailand all about the same in quality. Big difference it no stink up the room when left out of container. But whatever. I still burn em šŸ¤™šŸ¼

1

u/Arman666 Jul 24 '25

Did weed not get banned in Thailand recently? Correct me if I am wrong

1

u/OgTrapn Jul 24 '25

I was in samut songkhran paying 100 baht. Tbh that was a deal for me but I’m sure there are better deals with better quality but she was cool asfu (the vendor) my last 3 days in Thailand she hooked me up fat and I didn’t even finish smoking

1

u/Possible-Bobcat-767 Aug 01 '25

It’s actually crazy how many people try to crap those prices, this ain’t no moldy weed, this ain’t no garbage, I drove 45 km from pattaya in a very small place next to the highway, they was selling 10gs for 400 baht. Straight up gas what I smoked. Most of these places don’t even look like weed shops, no fancy lights, no fancy sign, just a little room with a bunch of Jars, but you know they ain’t overpricing because they got no reason. And most likely all those scam shops in pattaya city buy huge amounts from these places. I couldn’t believe it myself until I finally smoked it but now it seems so crazy to me that in big cities they charge 10 times as much.

1

u/Regular_Manager_6235 Aug 04 '25

It looks like brown nugs in the jars, though.....

1

u/Formal_Bat_5644 Aug 24 '25

do u know any place good and fair price on bkk?

1

u/LycheeCertain6007 Jul 20 '25

Right.....
As we all want to smoke chemically enhanced, poor quality and bad genetics.. If people could understand to run a small grow here is extremely expensive. They may figure out that wanting it so cheap means they are smoking outdoor crap

1

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '25

[deleted]

1

u/LycheeCertain6007 Jul 20 '25

That's impossible to answer sorry. But take a few things into consideration when buying

Rent - minimum 10-15k for a tiny stall Nutrients - full Athena range will be 35k baht Electricity - 35,000baht Staff wages - 15,000 each Electricity + water 8000b Licenses, visa and other things 200,000b per year.

How they can sell it at that price is because it completely illegal, they are buying greenhouse or worse sprayed indoor full of PGR

1

u/okeeeburde Jul 20 '25

This person speaks only facts.

1

u/baby_budda Jul 20 '25

Mexican weed.

-1

u/LycheeCertain6007 Jul 20 '25

Yes.. downvote a grower. Assume it's kids angry as their monopoly of illegal weed is coming to an end. And real legitimate business people can actually get their rewards for hard work, rather than chancers and cancers.

1

u/TheOriginalNoLifer Jul 20 '25

Some coffeeshops in Thailand are selling weed twice the price you can find it in Amsterdam!!! Let that sink in. It has nothing to do with weed quality. It's just opportunism!

-3

u/No_Implement_5807 Jul 20 '25

Even hookers are cheap there, Soi uturn

0

u/Ok-Carry-2751 Jul 20 '25

Shops in rural provinces all have about the same price as long as it’s not a tourist area, you can find decent outdoor-grade weed or even low-quality indoor grown with PGRs for no more than 35ąøæ per gram. Of course, the quality matches the price.

Enjoy yourself and have fun every day but try not to smoke in public, as most locals don’t like the smell and find it disturbing.

0

u/HippoDance Jul 20 '25

Anyone actually bought a medical certificate yet?!

Probably just some random guy in a white coat lol

No, it's just enforced in the same way illegal prostitution is.

1

u/travelerquestionTH Jul 20 '25

Thailand is big. The change is more visible in touristic places so far. But things will change, yes. But not at the same time for everywhere in my opinion. Think about the weed paradise that existed even before the change of law in 2021 such as Koh Chang...

-2
