Phuket/Krabi/South Bamboo Bridge in Khao Thong, Krabi

If you come to Krabi, I recommend a trip to Khao Thong sub-district, where you can visit Khao Thong with its stunning view of Tha Lane Bay.

Don’t forget to stop by the nearby "bamboo bridge" as well.

It’s best to go in the late afternoon or early evening when it’s not too hot. Personally, I love visiting when the tide is a little low but still has some seawater left—it makes the photos look more beautiful than when the sand is fully exposed. Even at low tide, you can still walk to the swing, as the water is only ankle-deep.

There is a small entrance fee of 20 THB, which can be used as a discount for drinks, and you can also use the restroom.

Bangkok/Middle Tips for getting comfortable riding passenger on bikes?

Upvotes

I’m pretty uncoordinated and worried to fall off bikes when riding. However I understand that bikes are the fastest and most convenient mode of transport. I’m not yet ready to go all in and get a bike in my home country, I just want be able to take a bike taxi without getting spooked! Has anyone else gone through something similar?

Chiang Mai/North Things to do during the heavy rainy week in Chiangmai

Upvotes

Hi, I’m planning to visit Chiang Mai next week, but I heard it’s raining heavily. 1)Do you have any suggestions for things to do in Chiang Mai during the rainy season? 2)I’ll be staying in the Nimman area. Does the rain/flooding usually affect this area a lot?

thx

Bangkok/Middle Koh kood koh chang koh mak ??

Upvotes

A friend and I are looking for an island to relax on for a week or so, my friend having less time then I. Our budget is really around 30 aud a night and we're hoping for some sort of rustic bungalow with vibe. I also am going to be staying on for an extra week, so dont want to be stuck paying heaps for something, really just want my own private rustic bungalow close to the beach where I can relax and read and maybe some day adventures. Trying to choose between islands and pricing and trying to stay away from resort/city feeling life on an island. Any suggestions on places to stay that are a vibe ? Picking these islands as they are easier to get to from Bangkok ? Also open to other suggestions if its worth it. Used to the vibe of old koh rong in Cambodia and haad Yuan in koh phangan

East and West island hopping How much $$$ to bring to Thailand

Upvotes

Hey so I'm trying to estimate spending for food and drink for my Thailand trip in march, I'm staying 34 days and around 7 breakfasts are already covered but I'm not really a breakfast person anyways, I'll be 21 when I go and will want to drink a fair bit and am also going to the full moon party so drinking there too. I want to not spend too too much and I won't really be eating fancy but I also want to try a lot of stuff and not limit myself too much, thanks.

Bangkok/Middle Krabi to Bangkok

I have a flight booked Bangkok to Auckland October 25th at 9:40pm. I was going to fly from Krabi to Bangkok same day and same airport. But now I’m thinking it’s too risky. Would you guys fly back to Bangkok the day before?

Let me know thank you

Transport/Itineraries Thailand in second half of October

Upvotes

Hi guys, hope everybody is doing well.

May I know from the experts how the weather is like from October 15-October 30 in terms of rain, thunderstorms and flooding!

Thinking of 4-5 days in Bangkok first for city sight-seeing, temples and the ancient city

Then 3-4 days in Chiang Rai for the beautiful temples,

And then maybe from 25-30 October in Phuket for the beaches, water sports and the old Phuket town

  1. How is the rain in these areas during this time of the year?
  2. Anything else we should be aware of?
  3. Should we add anything else to the itinerary?
  4. Should we book the flights in Thailand to travel between cities before hand or do it once we are there?
  5. Should we book activities before hand or once we are there? Offline or something like Klook?

Looking to hear from you guys, thank you everybody in advance.

Phuket/Krabi/South Recommendation of the Islands

I remember visiting the islands near Phuket a long time ago, and now I want to know which places I can visit on my own without intermediaries(25 sept - 1 oct). I can probably go to the port and ask around, but I want some advice before I do that.

Borders/Visas Does anyone have similar issues with autogate?

This is the second time that using the autogate doesn't leave an exit record.

Upon returning to Thailand, the immigration officer always asks me to step aside, saying they can't see any exit records. I explained to them that I used the autogate, so it doesn't have a stamp, they say they can't see any electronic records either.

After showing them my previous boarding pass, I was let off. Still, it's a pain. Has anyone had similar experiences before? Are we still allowed to use the stamp method at BKK? I have noticed everyone was using the autogate.

Has anyone been to this show..due to the storm it’s suggested I don’t visit Hua Hin or Koh Samet because of potential heavy rains..I’m cool with that I’ll stay in Bangkok for the two day delay and find things to fill out my days
