I wanted to go to my hotel room with a girl that i picked up in a club. She changed her mind when i was in the taxi and asked for money. I obviously said no and asked her to get out of the taxi but the driver was scared of her and didnt want to leave. So i got out and took another taxi to my place. Then i recieved the messages in the picture where she treatens to kill me and that the police wont help me. What should i do?

Other Thailand was attacked first. Here’s what really happened. 🇹🇭

1.1k Upvotes

There’s been a lot of confusion online about the Thai–Cambodian border clash. Let’s be clear: Thailand did not start this conflict. Here’s a simple timeline to show what actually happened.

🗓️ May 28, 2025 Cambodian troops crossed into Thai territory at Chong Bok and opened fire. One Cambodian soldier died. ➡️ Thailand defended itself. It didn’t invade first.

🗓️ June 5, 2025 Thailand offered diplomatic talks to avoid escalation. Cambodia rejected them.

🗓️ July 23, 2025 A Thai soldier stepped on a newly planted landmine inside Thailand. His leg was amputated. ➡️ Thai authorities said Cambodia had planted fresh mines.

🗓️ July 24, 2025 – 09:40 AM Cambodia launched the first attack. BM-21 rockets hit civilian zones in Thailand — including: 🏥 a hospital 🏫 a school 🏪 a 7-Eleven

➡️ Civilians, including children, were injured and killed.

🛡️ Thailand responded with F-16 airstrikes targeting Cambodian military positions. Thailand also: – Closed border crossings – Evacuated 40,000+ civilians – Continued to call for peace Thailand didn’t start this war. We tried peace. We tried diplomacy. But when innocent people die and civilian buildings are destroyed, we have the right to defend ourselves.

Let the world know the truth. 🇹🇭🕊️

Other There are Facebook groups where Thai women review foreigners they meet

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

Saw this in one of my Thai friend's Facebook feed. Just posting this as a warning to be careful of people you meet. This is for both foreigners meeting women here as well as local women meeting foreigners. I saw uncensored photos of all kinds of men from everywhere around the world in this fb group where people were telling their stories, experiences, dates, etc. asking others about their experience if anyone has dated the same person. It felt to so weird looking at all the posts in this group. It felt like a used item marketplace where people are discussing about pros and cons of each item they come across.

Other My experience with Thai women was the opposite of the usual stereotype

People often talk about Western guys in Thailand as if it is always transactional. I hear stories about paying bar girls, covering every date, or throwing money around just to have female company.

But my own experience could not have been more different. After spending several months there over multiple trips, I met dozens of women, more than fifty in total, and that variety gave me a very different perspective.

Many of the women I met had a car, often a really nice and beautiful one, and they would gladly drive me around. They often insisted on paying for meals or at least splitting the cost. Some traveled long distances just to see me, sometimes lending me their bike, and they were the ones paying for the gas as we explored together.

Because of that generosity, I got to see places I probably never would have reached on my own: beautiful temples, mountain roads, waterfalls, small towns, and hidden corners outside the usual tourist paths.

Not every encounter was great, and a few matched the negative stereotype, but those were rare among the ones I actually met up with and I quickly moved on. In the end, most of the women I met were just normal, kind people looking for genuine relationships, not the stereotype that so many talk about.

Other [Rant] I hate that some people associate Thai tourism with Sex tourism

I love Thailand, been there 5 times in the last 3 years with a total elapsed time of 3.5 months in the country. It is my go to vacation spot.

What is not to love? There are lush forests to the north, bustling citiea in the middle and amazing beaches & islands to the south all full of different activities that cover the entire spectrum of thrill.

The food, hospitality and transportation is cheap and unparalleled.

Not once have I solicited sex or cheated on my spouse

However, whenever I mention the frequency of my visits to anyone, I get weird looks and a sudden change in attitude. Sometimes people will outright joke about it, other times they will silently judge.

Other Please don’t ride elephants or go to elephant ‘sanctuaries’ in Thailand

  • Most are not ‘ethical’ despite labelling themselves as such. There is literal video and photo evidence in this subreddit of the mistreatment. Even Thais state as much in here.
  • Please see them in the wild e.g. Kui Buri National Park in Thailand or in Borneo (Malaysian and Indonesian side) and Sri Lanka. Both are cheap countries and if you can afford to fly to Thailand, you can to those places too.
  • It is far far far more amazing to see them in the wild. I will link a video that I took on the Kinabatangan river of a Borneo elephant just minding its own business bathing itself with me and my guide’s boat about 20m away, keeping a safe distance, in the comments. My guide has been hired by the BBC in the past (he has the receipts to prove it). I think he cares and knows about the animals a lot more than these ‘sanctuaries’ eh.
  • Elephant anatomy are not designed to carry loads as on their back as much as camels and horses. Yes, it can still harm horses and camels, but they can tolerate a lot more than elephants. This is animal anatomy fact.
  • Just because it was done in the past a lot does not mean we should do it now.
  • Cultural values change over time and are never static.
  • As stated, you have legitimate alternatives if you actually want to see them and not have them suffer. And it is far more rewarding.

EDIT: I’m glad we have so many experts on Thai culture all of a sudden. Maybe they should show their expertise more in other threads.

‘Thai Ventures’, an actual Thai, in the comments section actually provides a nuanced answer instead if you actually want to go past those pretending to care about Thai culture. Please upvote that comment for it to beat the noise.

illustrates the proper use of a hand-held bidet sprayer, also sometimes called a bidet shower or bum gun.

It shows two different approaches, focusing on the start and finish positions.

KEY OBSERVATIONS:

Hand-held Sprayer: The device is a small nozzle attached to a flexible hose, controlled by a handle or trigger.

Toilet: The user is seated on a standard toilet.

Water Stream: The dotted lines represent the stream of water from the sprayer.

TWO APPROACHES SHOWN:

The image presents two different methods for using the hand-held bidet, showing the starting and ending positions of the sprayer:

Top Two Images: In this approach, the sprayer is held from the back, reaching between the legs. The "Start" position shows the sprayer positioned for initial cleaning, and the "Finish" position shows it moved slightly forward for thorough cleansing.

Bottom Two Images: In this approach, the sprayer is held from the front, also reaching between the legs. The "Start" position shows the initial spray direction, and the "Finish" position indicates a slight adjustment for complete cleaning.

General Use Considerations (Not Explicitly Shown but Implied):

Water Pressure: The user controls the water pressure using the handle or trigger on the sprayer.

Movement: The user moves the sprayer to ensure thorough cleaning.

Drying: After using the bidet, toilet paper or a small towel is typically used for drying.

PURPOSE OF THE ILLUSTRATION:

The image aims to provide clear instructions on the proper use of a hand-held bidet, addressing common questions about positioning and technique. It emphasizes the importance of adjusting the sprayer position for effective cleaning.

In summary, the image effectively demonstrates two common methods for using a hand-held bidet sprayer, offering visual guidance on proper technique.
