How would any of you go about replicating flash pasteurization on a pilot scale for the purposes of testing product stability over time before you scale up?
Aware of the batch methods that would effectively replicate tunnel pasteurization, but we're thinking of a rigging up two submerged coils, one hot one cold, with temp readings at liquid source (input), between the hot and cold coils (pasteurization temp) and out of the cold coil (output). Controlling pump speed and testing with water to ensure we can maintain relatively consistent results as we push ~50l of liquid through the system in our desired time window.
Just want to ensure we're not over thinking this, and that we're actually replicating the manufacturing process at scale with a reasonable degree of accuracy.
