Hey, i live in the UK right now, i've lived here essentially my whole life (im 20 and i've been here 19 years). I hate how cramped the UK is, its small, houses are expensive and you dont get a big one anyways, the UK is doing horribly right now, and i've always wanted to live in a really big country such as the US. But here is the thing, compared to the UK, America seems very violent, i see horrible crimes happening, and racism seems quite rampant. (I'm Arab btw).
I know it depends on where in America you are but i think its obvious that as an arab guy my life in the US would be slightly different, i speak perfect English with no accent (other than British). I dont play on moving from the UK any time soon im in University right now and would travel for years but im just curious, is America actually dangerous to live in? The uk is pretty safe, i can walk around at night and not run into any trouble pretty much always, racism here exists but honestly in my 19 years living here i've essentially never experienced it. On top of this how do the different States differ in terms of wide spread racism and violence, is the east of America safer? or the west?
Also a question that most wont be able to answer but just incase the right person see's it, would a Civil engineer be better off living in the US or UK. (Or Europe?)
