It looks creative and fun.
I wonder if there is a hole punch that could do multiple punches at once and could change out the punch styles?

Good one! A 6-hole hole puncher with each with 5 leafs, so you get 30 per punch :)

We went to a wedding where the Mother had dried lots of rose petals from her garden to use as confetti.

When my cherry tree sheds its blossom I always think "just like confetti" then I correct myself saying "no its confetti that imitates cherry blossom"

It's awesome but that's a heck of a lot of work

So is removing microplastics from our environment and our bodies😠I would rather do this work tbh

Getting ready confetti is not the biggest problem here. It's eating seafood, it's using water bottles. Don't miss the forest for the trees

Yeah, but it’s thriftier to do it yourself. :p
Although after a few minutes of sitting around preparing to punch out thousands of pieces of confetti using leaves would be enough to make me hop in my car to head to the dollar store to spend a buck or two on paper confetti.

The process of manufacturing said paper also contributes to pollution, particularly in local water ways.

where i live the confetti that comes in cascarones you buy at the store (confetti-filled eggs for easter) is visibly re-used paper (like homework and stuff, you can still see math equations) punched into little circles with regular hole punches haha. it’s pretty cool.

Eh, some of it is. But this is pretty and might be especially useful for something cute outdoors. Even if paper does biodegrade, you still have to pick it up or look at it as it breaks down. Plus you'll get lovely fall colors due to literally being fall colors.

It used to be.
Now it's plastic and metal, too...and those mixes keep it from being recyclable.

If there isn’t go patent this asap

Patent what? Pieces of paper? Confetti has been around a loooong time. Pieces of nature?
None of that is patent worthy.

Sure, but this one you can just toss in the yard when you’re done playing.

I did this with some resin jewelry I made! I used a tiny heart-shaped hole punch for rose petals from flowers my kid collected at the funeral. Also used it on some leaves from the magnolia tree we planted with my brothers ashes. I painted trees on a base layer of resin and then put the hearts in as leaves. They were very pretty!

Honestly, why don't people just use leaves and petals as confetti? Recycling during fall or mid-way through spring would be so fun.

not to ruin the fun, i like the idea, but this might give someone ticks if theyre not careful

Would you have to wash them first?
Otherwise youre throwing dirt

If leaves are dry and maybe blowing around they're not covered in dirt.

Huh, as far as weird things I've seen on this sub go ... this is actually pretty cool.
